I use keyboard and mouse personally :) I plugged in the controller once just to see, and was like "the hell is going on" and unplugged it :D

I played WoW for something like 2 years using keyboard and mouse. It never felt right to me, it was always awkward. I've also tried Logitech's G13, and something older that was sort of the same kind of thing can't recall the name. While better than a standard keyboard they still felt awkward. On ESO I play with an XBOne controller for the natural feel and an attached ChatPad for the extra keybinds.

The ONLY downside of using a controller, for me, has been other people feeling the need to tell me that I would be better if I used a keyboard and mouse. No matter how many people tell me this, nor how many times I am told this, it will remain false. I am personally better with a controller.

I use Xbox One Controller and have a wireless keyboard so i can still type and switch characters on the home screen.

I've always played console more than PC so I feel more in control of the game with it. I've never been good at co-ordinating my hands (much to the despair of my old piano teacher) and using wasd had me staggering around worse than the drunken personality!

XB1 controller here for general gameplay and combat, because I can sit back with my legs up... but mainly because my cat likes to sit on me when I play eso.

Mouse and keys for crafting writs, guild store and some other menus. I have a hot key setup to swap between the two.

Wait people use controllers? Why would you?

Why would to buy a controller for your computer when you have a keyboard and mouse and if you have a console why are you playing computer?

This might just because I am old, my last console was PS2 and I never upgraded to these fancy new consoles.

Razer Orbweavew for left hand, switching from using thumb stick and WASD depending on what I'm doing.

Was using a Razer naga in right hand but that broke and got the cheaper Utech MMO mouse which is the same sort of 12 button on the side mouse. Use this to fire off all my skills, also have the map bound to one of the other mouse buttons.

Only ever use the keyboard if I'm typing into chat.

Here's how I have my Orbweaver set up, I press the button above the thumb stick and while I hold it in, I get access to the red functions, the second I release it, it's back to the default.

Because when I'#m using the setup shown in my above post, I can play for hours without my fingers and wrists hurting, unlike when I use my keyboard for long periods of gaming,

I have a PS4 and a gaming computer. I also have ESO on both systems.

The keyboard and mouse is nice for things that require more precision, like first person shooters, but with the way a keyboard and mouse lay flat it just isn't as comfortable. The game pad is nice for comfort though. Holding the game pad lets my hands rest in a more natural position while I lean back in my chair.

Happily, ESO was designed with game pads in mind, so performance doesn't suffer the way it would with less forgiving combat systems in other games.

Well for me I played ESO for 6 months on my Xbox before swapping to PC. Also I'm used to playing games on console and using my PC for work related stuff, so I find it more intuitive to play most games in this perspective using a controller, and actually struggle quite a bit using the keyboard and mouse.

I use my PS4 controller, Logitech G13 and G502 Gaming Mouse. I don't even bother with the Gamepad mode, I use my PS4 controller configured using XPadder and it works perfectly. I use mouse for menus, and have a wireless keyboard handy for when I actually need to type anything. The G13 is great for working with shortcuts and addons, such as AlphaGear to switch gear sets.

Wireless XBox controller using Gamepad UI on 55" TV with my feet up in easy chair :p . Mostly, I love the gamepad UI, because my old eyes had a hard time seeing text on default UI. I keep a mini wireless KB at hand for chat and because a few favorite addons aren't supported in Gamepad UI.

Perhaps KB/M is more precise, but I don't care. I want to relax and enjoy the game, not be uptight about being the best.

Why is that even a question?

The mouse gives you sooooo much better fine control over your movement, i can't image why anyone would play with a controller on a PC ...

Logitech M570 Trackball and G13 gamepad.

Yes, that is a fantastic mouse. Wish it had a few more buttons, but I've tried a lot and it seems to be the best. I use use a gamepad similar to G13, called Razer Nostromo
I have one of those also. While I much prefer the ergonomic design and comfort of the Nostromo, I like having more key options of the G13.

    Keyboard and mmo mouse.

Why? Because I've always used k&m and I like to be able to turn around quickly in game and have more accuracy with my crosshair. I have an xbox controller that I use for Asetto Corsa and Sonic (games with no crosshair). I use an mmo mouse for eso because it's optimal.

How? I recline in a comfy office chair with my keyboard on my lap, my feet up, and my mouse arm resting on a long table next to me. My elbow is supported and not floating in space so I get no arm fatigue, I can't imagine controller being more comfortable tbh.

The only MMO I ever used a controller for was DCUO. That one had a combo based combat system that felt way better on a controller. I've used one with ESO a couple times to see how its interface worked, to walk others through something, but I wouldn't play the game that way.
