Dragonknights and Annulment

Let's say I have the same magicka and cp setup on my nightblade, sorcerer and dragonknight. I do.

Then let's say I cast annulment on each of the characters over and over. I do.

So why does the dragonknight's annulment feel like a cheap knock off brand of chewing gum and the other two are mother-sucking Orbit?

I have a very specific play style that is completely dependent on shields. Its an addiction and something I wish I could fix. I just want my dragonknight to feel the same.

Are they all wearing the same gear?

Perhaps on the sorc you are stacking annulment together with hardened ward, which is a shield that scales based on max magicka, but on DK you are using igneous shield and annulment which scales based on max health?

You tend to have much higher max Magicka on Sorcerer and Nightblade, due to passives and such, increasing the shield strength. Dragonknights are almost exclusively in heavy armor as well and that has an effect on the shield strength for one morph.

    7 light - all 3
    64 points in magicka - all 3

Max magicka is 38k on dk but only 39k on sorc and 40k on nb

CP spread out the same in red trees

No shield stacking on any of the 3 except healing ward as necessary (sorc has hardened ward I normally use but not for testing)

It just feels that the dk's shield melts like butter, so I'm guessing that 2k makes that much of a difference?

Do any racial passives or class skill passives make any difference for the shields?

Only max magicka and CP affects the shield size and the strength is the same regardless.

The amount of light armour pieces worn will affect the size of annulment. And hardy, elemental defender, thick skinned etc will affect how much damage any shield will take. The op has said that all characters are wearing 7 light with identical cp allocations though, so I'm baffled by this one.
