Magicka NB PvP Build? What should I do?

Alright so how well would 5 piece viper 5 piece VD with Molag Kena work? Is there a more effective way to build my magicka NB?

Viper is stamina based I wouldn't use it. VD works and if you are trying to be a bomber it's best in slot. Judging by your sets I'm assuming you want to play melee magblade. You can try 5 necroprentence, 5 clever alchemist, 2 engine guardian. This set his incredibly hard. Another build that's really good is 5 julianos, 5 lich, 2 skoria/ gartdarr this set also it's pretty hard and has better magicka sustain. I've had success with both of those builds

Yea it would and it's easy to get if you don't want to farm. If you are trying to go the vicious death bomber you are probably going to want to use a destro staff instead of a resto on the back bar for the destro ultimate. I would go clever alchemist vicious death though if you are trying to be a bomber

What I'm currently running is 5 piece Clever alchemist, 2 piece molag kena, 3 piece willpower and 2 piece torug's pact but I don't have prox det so it doesn't seem to be all too effect and I can't figure out how to make it so at least until I get prox det.

So the proxy soul tether bomb isn't really effective anymore. I would use the destro staff ultimate eye of the storm to bomb. You don't even need proxy det just fully buff up and destro bomb.

So if I used a destro with my current build would that work effectively? Where would I get my sustain?

From what I've heard eye of the storm basically requires grothdar and is far more effective on a DK? Is that true or can a NB be just as powerful doing the same thing?

Eye of the Storm is the most powerful thing for every Magicka char... and that's really sad.

You don't need grothdar for eots to work, it also works well on any magicka class. It's great on magblade because you have a gap closer and fear. Just throw on VD and you are sure to get a lot of kills

my suggestion though you can tweak it to your liking is:

spc + transmutation
with full set of vicious death you can trade out with either spc or transmutation

or

spc + vicious death
with full set of transmutation you can trade out with either spc or vicious death.

this gives you flexibility, and with mage nightblade you do healing with skills as well.

suggested monster helm, grothdarr, bloodspawn, pirate.

suggested skills:
bar 1 dw or s/b your choice.
funnel health, entropy, inner light, impale, 1 extra skill of your choice.

bar 2 dw or s/b your choice.
sap essence, magicka det, fear, inner light, 1 extra skill of your choice.

Isn't spc only usable with a resto staff? Also why is it that no matter what build I use it always seems to fall short. For example no matter what I use I can usually barely get someone down to half health before I get one shot. What am I doing wrong?

Eye of the Storm doesn't require anything. It's the strongest magicka Ult no matter what you use it with.
