I have an extremely bad internet connection (like 2mbit/s) and it takes me ages to download the game. I recently downloaded the game, which took me 3 days, but then it wouldn't run showing me a JAVA stopped working pop up whenever I pressed Play on Steam. I tried to verify integrity and thats when Steam decided to wipe all data (seriously freakin look into this!).
So, I asked a kind friend to download the game for me as he is rocking a much more pleasant 20mbit/s connection. It is nearly finished downloading on his Laptop. I am wondering, which folders I need to copy from his Laptop and the move to my PC? I imagine there is a folder in steam/steamapps/common. Is there any other folder I need to copy, like in documents or anywhere else?

✭✭✭✭1. Copy the Folder and all its contents of C:\Program Files(x86)Zenimax Online to your removable Drive.
2. Download the Game launcher from your account page
3. Install the game launcher so it install Direct X and Visual C ++
4. When launcher opens close it
5. Copy the Files from your removable drive to C:\Program Files(x86)
6. When finished Open Launcher
7. Click Play/Download

Zakor✭✭✭OP said he downloaded from steam which most likely means OP has a steam version. In that case you will find the game in your steam folder (steam/steamapps/common/...). You want to make sure to follow the provided steps but you have to start the launcher from steam in that case which could lead to problems since the game is not installed anymore if I understood that right. You actually could try to copy it into your steam folder and let steam "start downloading", on which steam will find the existing files and check them.
