How I learnt to accept the lack of free extra character slots

Dear, dear ZOS...
I got very excited on the news about your new expansion. I've pre-ordered it on the day of the announcement. It is a bit sad of course that I could not get it for free, but even as a 3-years long subscriber of yours I realise the content of this magnitude may require additional sacrifices from me.
What I did not expect is that you won't provide a mean to fully enjoy all of it. Not including new character slots to play the warden is really petty and low. This game is celebrating its 3rd birthday soon and I'm sure there are lot of people who fully utilize their 8 or even 12 available slots.
I was hoping you'd follow the original pattern and give 2 free slots with the option to buy a 3rd in CS. Having to buy them significantly increases the cost of the expansion. Without those slots I cannot experience one of the major selling points. And it hurts your longest playing, most loyal player-base the most. It really is a slap in the face for me, after spending money for the extra CS slots already, without knowing they may be needed in the future.
I would kindly ask you to reconsider this move.
Or here's the deal... If you think it's absolutely necessary I trust your judgement on this one. But they costs a lot and I don't have prosperous gear IRL. My sub ends in a month's time. Since you've already revealed that there's not much will be going on for the next 4 months - I think I can live without it for 2-3 months. That way I can make up for the extra money and everyone wins. Hell, I even spend less time in the game for the next 4 months since I'll have less things to do. That way I can resist those fancy CS showcases more. No harm done, I can promise I'll be back for the big day to enjoy my purchased content.

✭✭✭✭✭It's the industry standard. Almost every MMO gives you a free character slot or two when they release an expansion with a new class. Really not sure why ZOS didn't include it. Something like this would go a long way in improving your public image with fans. ✭I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that the plan is to make available 2 more additional slots, from crown store.
I can't remember the exact quote but it sounded like nothing is locked in yet. As there is still 4 months to go until release we might see some changes here.
Perhaps a free slot or 2 for pre-orders or long term subs?0 -
