Do I HAVE to purchase Morrowind to continue playing ESO?

I don't know if this falls into the "stupid question category", but as I have been playing ESO intermittently since it launched back in 2014 (only keeping subscription until ESOTU launched), I feel it is necessary to ask this question, since Mr. Firor didn't answer this question in the Road Ahead article.

Basically, do I HAVE to purchase Morrowind to continue playing ESO when it releases in June? By this question, will not purchasing the Morrowind chapter have any adverse consequences on the game (such as not being able to play the game at all, not being able to see any players in the game, being kicked out of any social circles/guilds, etc.)?

Now, just because I'm asking this question, it does NOT mean I won't purchase the Morrowind chapter ever. I will be purchasing the Morrowind chapter (if nothing else, the Warden class sounds interesting), but I plan on purchasing it in mid-July for my birthday, after I've worked a few hours at a summer job (of which I need to decide between my local gardening store which needs more summer employees STAT, or the local fast food chain at which I LOVE eating at).

Any assistance would be appreciated.

If you can't handle the heat...stay out of the kitchen!

No, you only have to purchase Morrowind if you want to play the content that Morrowind brings to the game.

i can't speak on behalf of your guilds/social circles. You will have to speak to them about what policy they plan to have regarding Morrowind. But it really shouldn't affect you that much.

No, you can keep playing the base game but won't have access to the warden class, the new trial, or any of the new zones. So it will be like if you didn't have orsinium - can't do VMA, can't go to wrothgar but you can keep playing the game without it.
