Buying Morrowind standard edition

Hi everyone.

A friend of mine wanted to buy the Morrowind Standard Edition and was wandering: since SE includes base game and Morrowind, if he preorders, does he get the base game now and can he start playing right away?

    This question was already answered, there are a few threads regarding this in the "News and Website Articles" forum.

    To summarize it - the Morrowind Standard Edition DOES contain the base game, but if you preorder it now, you will only be able to play the base game, when Morrowind is released.

    So there are two options for newcomers - if they can patiently wait till June, preorder Morrowind SE (should be the cheaper option); if they want to start playing right away, buy one of the current editions first and then the digital upgrade to the Morrowind Edition.

    I saw a thread about this yesterday from someone who bought the Morrowind Standard Edition and wasn't able to play the base game until June 6th

    It'd be better for your friend to just get the Base game by itself now if they want to play now, and then buy the Morrowind upgrade by itself as well.

    Someone else had an issue on the forums earlier where this didn't supply the base game by doing this.

    As Morrowind is an expansion, be very surprised if it contained the base game.

    Seems like bump is the only violation of forum rules that doesn't bring attention of moderators :).
    And to me, I'd buy the base game now and wait to see what happens with Morrowind. It is likely that with all this hate recently the expansion will be eventually added to ESO+ on release :).
