Critical Resistance

Does anybody actually invest champion points to increase their critical resistance or use impenetrable traits? It always seems like there's more important things to buff (obviously talking about PVP here)

    Whaaaaaaaa?

For serious pvp-ers, dang straight they invest in these. Alcast makes some killer pvp builds, and he uses a ton of impen armor...sometimes every piece. I see a ton of builds with 30 CPs in resistance.

When I plan to play a lot of pvp on a toon, I usually spend at least 30 CPs here and equip at least two impens, depending on the class and build. A while back impen became way important.

But proc sets won't crit in 13. Yet AOE damage is going up. So there's a chance the meta will shift as we figure out how these changes play. Proc set dps was my stamblades primary reason for using a lot of impen, honestly. If these cant crit, not sure I need as much.

Well , it depends on how you play . For ganking , all divines gear with shadow mundus does better . For being able to take more hits , you definitely want Impen . 7 legendary impen items will get you around 1800-2000 crit resist . If you play in a group where healer is using transmutation which gives 1300 crit resist ; you will reach 3200-3300 crit resist which is the cap for critical resistance . So , for group play , you don't have to spend points in CP but for solo , it definitely is a good way to make yourself tankier .

Impen was always king in PvP, even before existence of proc sets. Impen is the difference between a crit rush-uppercut-heavy one shot and survival.

I build all my setups around minimun 3k crit resist. As was said, a transmutation healer in group makes this much easier, but if need be I put the points in resistant. This will not change in homestead.

The amount of crit resistance depends on what class you're playing,as the other players said you aim for 3k+ on healers and tanks,it might change for other classes,on sorc for example i dont go for full impen since i have shields which cannot be critted.
