High King Emeric is my favorite of the three faction rulers. He has actually been forced to face his own fears and inadequacies, and is the stronger and wiser for it now, having come through it without losing himself. I think most people would be permanent emotional wrecks after suffering an unending nightmare where all your failures become real and all the people you love turn against you, with no possible escape from the misery because you never wake up. He has had to make very tough choices and his character has depth and soul and seems to be more "human" than some of the other characters in ESO. The Queen and Skald-king seem very one-dimensional to me in comparison, like charictarures.

Initially, on my first playthrough of the DC storyline, I thought Emeric to be kind of whiny too. But on a subsequent playthrough I too began to find that his fears and inadequacies made him all the more human, and that he really wanted to help his faction to the best of his ability anyway.

I like Queen Ayrenn, she's poised and confident and she has a genuine want for the Dominion to actually work in the way she envisions it, but she somehow seems "too" perfect in that.

I don't like the Skald-King at all, I found him dull, uninteresting, lacking depth of character and rather boring. Much like the entire EP storyline. It bores the pants off me.

I love DC, it's my favourite factions. I wish it had Raz though lol <3

11 reasons why the daggerfall covenant is not so great, brought to you by the Ebonheart Pact Information Bureau:
(Yes, I am just kidding here, in case anyone takes this seriously, so... don't panic! :p;) )

    1. High King Emeric - The man's a wimp, relying on heroes to save his arse time and time again, while whining about some bad dreams or how the decor in his castle doesn't match, while his nobles are plotting against each other behind his back in every corner of high rock... and when he does something it is usually an underhanded act worthy of the skeever he is, like the unprovoked slaughter of innocent nord fishermen and housewives at bleackrock isle and the invasion of stonefalls, or aiding and abetting a known traitor to return from exile and start an unjust insurrection against a lawful king... the man is a war criminal of the worst sort!

    2. Rivenspire - cannot compare to the glory of Morrowind in any possible way, and is infested with bloodsucking fiends besides, unquiet dead that rise to gourge themselves on the blood of innocents in the night, and do so by the leave of the noble lords, some of which are rumoured to be among the ranks of the living dead themselves, viewing their foolishly loyal subjects as mere cattle... mortals of all lands, unite against the vampires hiding in your midst!

    3. The fountain in Daggerfall, how many gatherings of ill repute has that plaza seen? it is a sump of dubious pleasures, a place where people of loose morals find customers to defraud of their hard earned gold with empty promnises and occasionally spread veneral diseases to, where cutpurses lurk in hopes of finding victims who might have favored the grape overly much and where swindlers of all sorts hark their questionable wares to cheat gullible customers. Visitors beware of the dangers of daggerfall!

    4. Redguards, the bandits of the desert, a race of brutish men known for their indescriminate slaughter of sentient beings in the name of their unhealthy sword cult, causing the actual genocide among the sinmer and other races that once populated the alik'r desert, where nopw the redguards lurk behind every dune, waiting for any hapless traveller to ambush, part from their valuables, and more then likely their pride as well through unnatural deeds visited upon woman and man alike, the sands of the desert cover the bones of hundreds of their many victims, so many in fact that they had to enact special enchantments to prevent a mass rising of restless dead coming for vengeance for the wrongs done to them...

    5. The Alik'r Desert - Containing sand, sand and even more sand, which gets into -everything-, chafing in places unfit to mention in polite company. A place shunned by life itself, where only poisonous beasts and bandits roam; if it had any decent beach it might make a viable vacation destination, but with the lands being filled with redguards, wise travellers tend to give it a wide berth...

    6. It's blue. Like an ogre or riekling. And by all accounts, smells similar as well...

    7. The most boring architecture in the game.. no compare to the glories of dunmer cities or the temple at mournhold!

    8. The Covenant are a family, and yet they all get it on with each other, which sounds pretty troubling if you think about it a bit, but what would you expect from a race founded in tainted blood like the bretons, redguard bandits know for plundering both gold and maindens virtues or the orcish pig-children of malacath?

    9. They dont even have any races with tails...

    10. This Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjZZGsAdzGg

    11. Darien, Skordo the Knife, Gabrielle, Lady Laurent, and Stibbons all mess up during the assault on coldharbour and have to be rescued at one time or another. The covenant can't even get their part done without help!

DC has the best leader, and architecture. EP has Skyrim, and my two favorite races (lol definitely not Argonians). AD has nothing.
