In lieu of amazing new trailer and announcement have a race question

I've been playing ESO for months now. Steam is showing 500+ hours. I have this problem. I'm an Alt-o-holic. I cannot stop rerolling and screwing around with different builds. Day one ESO, and all past Elder Scrolls games i've LOVED the dark elfs. I love nightblades, stamina, even though they are difficult. I've played a rogue in every MMO i've ever played. So the play style fits. The trailer shows this awesome Dunmer nightblade morag tong assassin. Which is what I always wanted to play but never have, due the racial passives. I'm a stickler for those kind of things.

Should I just do what i've always wanted and main a dark elf stamblade, or is the hundreds if not thousands of hours spent on him not worth it? I know stamblades are in a bad spot right now, and racials make a big difference in terms of endgame DPS for an already iffy class. But any fellow Dark Elf stamblades out there that can clear all the endgame content, including VmA? I could care less on how I rank on leaderboards but I would love to clear the hardest content, and I of course love to PvP. Should I just stick to my bosmer stamblade? There are so many different posts, most of them very old on whether or not race matters. I'd like an updated version.

I'm just gonna say, Dunmer is an okay race for a stamina build as they at least have a stamina boon and Stamina NB is great for PvP ganking + all class/resources dps are viable for vet trials even if top teams will only want certain kinds.

Make a character that will make you happy. Sometimes we have to pick between style and performance, but what you want to do isn't a huge loss to performance. Worst case if you level a Dunmer sNB and are bothered by the performance for some reason, you can easily swap to mNB :p
If you quote someone, and intend for them to see what you have said, be sure to Mention them with @[insert name].

This. As long as you aren't looking to get competitive you should be fine with a Dunmer sNB but you may have a slightly harder time with the hardest content.

I always go style over performance.

But at least race changes are available nowadays if it ever bugs you enough.

If only they weren't destroying proc sets for PvE, imagine doing this with Red Mountain and Way of Fire, haha

I do find the way racial attributes work to be a problem as well. It would be a lot less annoying if bonuses were not percentage based but static specific numbers instead.

    US/AD - Arondonimo - Vet Altmer Sorcerer | US/AD - Azumarax - Vet Dunmer Dragon Knight

    US/AD - Shirari Qa'Dar - Vet Khajiit Nightblade | US/AD - Ndvari Mzunchvolenthumz - Vet Bosmer Nightblade
US/EP - Yngmar - Vet Nord Dragon Knight | US/EP - Reloth Ur Fyr - Vet Dunmer Sorcerer

Everyone plays as they want and your not an exception.

Some want to go for the best dps they can get and others go in a different extreme of crazy funky builds they have fun with.

    Either is fine

I've always chosen races based on their looks, more than anything.I could care less about endgame meta to be honest.
