You can't buy 'just Morrowind'.... The base game is always included, new players/characters will just start in Morrowind, but since all is level scaled, the new guy can just go anywhere from there without even starting the quests in vvardenfell
Yeah that wouldn't really work. Why would Naryu be getting involved with the Prophet?I'm thinking maybe they'll just swap Naryu rescuing you instead of Lyris. Although that would break up the narrative structure tying Lyris with The Prophet.
That would certainly be a good way to do it. If you can find that post, that would be great!tribbsb16_ESO wrote: »I think if you start in Morrowind and do the intro there, when you decide to go to the mainland you will lose your soul etc and then go through the intro there. Exactly. Base ESO is always included, meaning you can't buy Morrowind on its own.Kevin_of_Devinshire wrote: »From the website:You can't buy 'just Morrowind'.... This has been mentioned elsewhere, but I thought it deserved its own thread. In yesterday's announcement, Rich and Pete said that the Morrowind expansion/chapter comes with a new tutorial for newly-created characters featuring Naryu, which drops you on Vvardenfell at the end. They also said that you'd be able to get back to the mainland from Vvardenfell for the base game content.
What's going to happen to the existing Soul Shriven in Coldharbour tutorial that takes place in the Wailing Prison? If you start a new character and end up on Vvardenfell, then travel to mainland Tamriel where the story is focused on you reclaiming your soul, how will you be presented with the situation where Mannimarco sacrifices you and Molag Bal steals your soul? Without the Wailing Prison as an introduction, the Harborage storyline will make no sense.
I know, but that was way back when they released Tamriel Unlimited. Even without it, you still get told by Lyris how you ended up in Coldharbour, so the lack of the cinematic alone doesn't really affect the start of the story. Sure it makes more sense to have the background that the cinematic presents, but without the Wailing Prison at all, the whole Prophet storyline would make no sense.MythicEmperor wrote: »Unfortunately, they removed the cinematic where you are sacrificed.
