What exactly would that accomplish? 160 gear in a world with 160 content cap is exactly the same at 180 gear in a 180 content cap world. If they increase the weapon cap and content cap while upgrading all your old weapons, they have done nothing at all. If they raise the gear cap without raising our current gear, it's a step backward. In no way do players win at all with a cap increase. It's not necessary. It's not mandatory. It will see players quit. Why bother?

MMOs raise caps to keep people busy. What's the point of raising it if they're going to upgrade our gear anyway?
