These highly competitive fast-paced matches will feature your choice in a variety of game types across three different maps."

Another card is the opposite, as we are fighting in and around a twisted tower. After the first three battlefields, according to the developers, others will follow in other regions of the world. We can easily enter the battles at any time via battlefield browser and earn us booty and PvP points."

However, just because we are introducing Battlegrounds with Morrowind doesn't mean we are walking away from Cyrodiil. We consider open-world PvP to be separate from small-scale PvP, and we want to be sure that we offer - and fully support - both.
For PvP in this game to become "highly competetive" there is a lot to do regarding balance issues first.
At the pace (and quality) ZOS has been adressing balance issues so far, i do not see that happening till June.
I'm hoping this brings some more close neat team based PvP where communication and complimentary builds are key to winning. I prefer that kind of PvP over solo builds that run around together with little synergy.
Will be interesting to see what gear is locked behind the mode and how hard it is to obtain, also the kind of challenge involved in achievements for this. As a completionist I don't want to see "reach #1 in the leader boards" or "win a season" style achievements which are very limited in access (like Emperor).
I'm curious about pre-made groups, and what kind of rewards are won and how they are given out.
Other than that we will need some pretty big batches of popcorn to handle all the salt those will bring.

I would love for this to be some sort of currency that you can buy Ashlands specific gear with (sort of like IC I guess?). I don't mind a grind, as long as it's not senseless.

I think this would be fine. Other MMO's have run token systems which works well and it means you get what you're after for partaking in the content on a regular basis.
Although ZOS has been against this (as shown with AP/TV) as they don't like the idea of players saving up enough points to buy into new seasons of gear right away.
Also I would hope they don't go down the route of arena specific bonuses meaning you need to use gear from that content in that content above all others. It would benefit more from entirely open gear sets to help metas change faster and a rock paper scissor style of builds rather than one build beats all.

This is good news. I'm assuming that battlefields will be a base game addition? And, "booty"?

Oh well, more for us
