Will Purchasing Morrowind Collectors Edition Hard Copy Wipe Out Everything We Already Have?

My hubby and I have had the Digital Edition, Imperial Edition, & Explorer's Pack since July 2014. We would like to buy the The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind - PC Collector's Edition HARD COPY to get the Dwarven Colossus Statue, Naryu's Journal, Map of Morrowind, and Exclusive Game Case. My question is, because this would NOT be an upgraded version will we loose the Imperial Edition and all the others as well and would we loose all content we have if we purchase the hard copy instead? Will it reset us to an all new game with having to create new characters and such or will everything just transfer over?

I think if players who are already playing the game and still want to purchase the hard copy for all the goodies that come with it, they should still be able to keep all previous versions and packs and still be able to upgrade with the digital hard copy. I know you can buy the upgraded digital version but we (hubby and I) want everything that comes with buying the hard copy collector's edition without having to start all over.

@Banana I am an Amazon Prime member, I can preorder and get the hard copy delivered to me on release day for free shipping, also if you are a Prime member you get $20 knocked off the price on top of the free shipping. :-)

Hmm, interesting. If/when it shows up on Amazon.ca maybe it will become worth it for me to become a Prime member. For now it doesn't seem to be available for preorder in Canada.

@UrQuan yea I checked Amazon right after the twitch broadcast today but it wasn't listed there yet. Amazon (US) didn't get it listed until a few hours later. I hope they get it on Amazon.ca soon as I have a friend that also wants to purchase from there.

With the price being listed at $99 and then a $20 Prime discount, Free shipping, and arrival the day of release it's a pretty good deal, especially since hubby and I will be buying two copies of it.

Yeah, it actually sounds like a great way of doing it. I preordered the physical collectors edition of the base game way back before launch from my local EB games, but I wasn't super happy with the way they handled the preorder. Fingers crossed that it shows up on Amazon.ca soon!

@Syiccal ...No. Do you mean for console? I assume it would just ask to use the newer disc for anything.

Could you please verify that if my hubby and I buy the Hard Copy Collectors Edition from a retailer that we will be able to just add the code to our existing account and keep the Imperial Edition and all other packs, plus all characters we have created since July 2014?

I really just want to make sure before we buy two copies that we can't use and not be able to play on the release date.

Keep in mind, we want to buy the hard copy collectors edition because of the cool stuff such as Dwarven Colossus Statue, Naryu's Journal, Map of Morrowind, and Exclusive Game Case, items we CAN NOT get if we just purchase the Collector's Edition Digital Upgrade version. I sent a support ticket in but their response was not clear either and only told me that since I already own ESO to purchase the upgrade.

Please could anyone from ZOS respond so I know whether to preorder two copies?

@ThePonzzz I was just sayin that in the Twitch broadcast I watched about Morrowind they stated that "new" players should get the Hard Copy, since hubby and I have been playing since 2014, I wanted to make sure if we bought the Hard Copy that we would be able to use it without it wiping out everything we have bought (such as the imperial upgrade) and all characters we have been playing since 2014.

Essentially I want to know if there will be a code in the hard copy to "ADD" Morrowind to our existing game.

The likely answer is Morrowind will have a code separately from the copy of the base game in ANY edition that has the base game as well. Part of buying the physical collector's edition is to get the unique game case on top of everything.
