Hmmmmm- you know, just thinking about how they made the frost staff for tanking- I'm wondering if Ice Furnace is going to become a thing. A DK should benefit from the flame AOE proc, too.

Ice furnace is absolutely terrible

I've been running a 5L 2H DK with Grothdar, BSW and Seducer. Destro front bar(sharpened bsw thank god and that random pug that gave it to me) resto (going to be dual wield next patch) back bar. Only have seducer active on my back bar and have expensive skills there as well (shields, heals, deep breath etc).

Hits hard as a truck but squishy as hell. Gotta keep a shield up as soon as it's touched so I'm running dampen magicka. Only have 440 CP so I have a 10k shield with that. With 1400 regen, pots, ults, defending resto, and mist form, I can sustain and survive pretty well. It's tricky but fun as hell. Only dot I run is talons. People understate the damage that stone giant gives on cc.

For HA DK, I'm trying to run 5 rattle 5 akaviri 2 valkyn. Need shields for akaviri and arcane jewels for rattle. It should have decent sustain and damage with the right CP set up. Trying for a control, dot heavy, small group set up. Will see how it goes.

One thing is certain, you need a sustain set. Anyone not running one dies a lot or has heavy group suppory. I ran 5 sun 5 rattle for a while but couldn't handle heavy pressure from more than two decent players. I'd run out of magicka before stamina and couldn't heal for every death I had.
