I personally haven't really played as a stam sorc but I hear a lot of good things about them.

'yuge AoE damage and self sustain.

Think DK is a close second, and an easy transition if one is already used to mDK

    Single Target DK
    AOE - Sorc

Both are really good. From what I have seen of most trial parses DK comes out higher but both are strong. What matters more is knowing your class well and having the right build.

Nightblade, because I'm biased (Love my NB Bosmer main.) HOWEVER, I did make a couple stamina sorcs and they just melt anything they touch.

Sorc gets my vote as best all around Stam class, but for pure single target DPS, DK is still better.

@Alcast recently did some tests on this. results weren't as drastic as i thought they'd be . for PVE its stam DK- but for PVP - its still NB for quick burst damage. i think Stam Sorc does well on all fronts - if there was a chart it d rate pretty well in all areas, single target, mobs, pve , pvp, dungeons and arenas, solo, etc.
unfortunately stamplar lagging right now- but that always changes back and forth with update and Unbalance changes.

If you look strictly on dps, I'm 100% sure it will be NB. If tomorrow they will put Surge skill for nightblades you will see people crying that NB is OP. The problem with full stamina NB is that this build is dying very fast, especially compared to sorcerer. So everyone will choose sorc only because they survive better with sorc than NB. DK is out of question. People who succed to pull crazy dps from DK will succeed to pull 20% more from NB. NB is only class that doesn't have effective healing ingame, that's why people so much avoid it.

You must be talking Pvp, cos trails sorc and dk above nightblade.

My Stam Sorc just rolls through content. It's almost boring except soloing the most powerful world bosses.

And it's a Wood Elf, lol. If I race changed to Imperial the carnage would be even worse.

    I also have:
Redguard Stam Sorc - Tank with endless aggro and heals from Hurricane
Wood Elf Stamblade - complete wimp
Imperial Stam DK - Tank of Tanks
    Imperial Stamplar - Meh

But yeah as others said - the best Stam build is to put all your attributes in Magica, lol.

Stamina Templar should be the obvious choice. They can buff the magicka dds in your raid which is one of the only reasons to take stam dds with you anyway ;)

I run every class as a Stam and Magicka (yes, I have 10 fully leveled toons, including a tank and a healer :))

First it depends on what's "best" to you. These are MY thoughts on all Stam class atm:

Stam dk has the highest single target due to standard of might buffing all damage for like 17 seconds, even the dots on your target. Essentially the most powerful ultimate in the game, pve-wise

Stam sorc has hurricane and critical sure, increasing survivability and damage together, hence that can pull highest aoe dps. This class this the most survivable/easiest Stam class, even w/o vigor or rally.

Stam NB has a Stam execute, the only Stam class with it in they're kit. If you want a spammable during long execute phases, this is for you.

Stam temp has jabs, so you don't have to use maelstrom weapons. Though this class is the lowest dps, if you can't be bothered to farm vma this is the class for you.

Yes, I've been reading and hearing great things about stamsorc and am itching to create one so I can see for myself what all the hub bub is about. However, I agree, for a single target, especially when a target has higher health, a DK appear to be better. Especially, the 2H greatsword can take a big chunk out of the target, per hit. Plus, a 2H greatsword can damage up to 3 targets with one swing. Of course, the main damage goes to the primary target. Plenty of times, with a single strike, 3 targets went down at the same time. Fun times.. I do switch about, from time to time, from a greatsword and DW. Greatsword, when I feel like sneaking up or taking out a target quick, or DW when I feel like pressuring and torturing the target with flurries to its miserable demise.
