Odd, every day the zerg lot seems to get larger, at beginning of öasy week, it was still tolerable but know its just ridiculous..

Im pretty sure there is no gear farming going on here. ZOS has created the homesteads and everyone wants the most expensive house and are now farming stuff to sell and gold sellers are doing the same to sell people gold when they want their homes.

Please randomize anchor spawns and make gear bop.

The reason people are doing this is because the gearing process is a pain in the butt.

Whether it's to sell goods to people who cannot get a drop, or farming the drop for yourself, the underlying problem behind this issue is that the gearing grind is painful and everyone wants to get over with ASAP.

Making the gear grind worse will not fix this issue. It will just bring more people to the grind now that they cannot simply buy their gear.

In fact the complete opposite idea would have closer results that you want. If they literally has a vendor give out the set pieces for free in town, you would see almost no one running the dolmens. Obviously that would make for some other problems. But I'm just pointing out how making items more exclusive does not decrease farming, it increases it.

Hmm, one chest a day/Dolmen.. That could be something. Even if its not really harder, you cant just stay and gather these chests the whole day..

Same with XP, like with fighters guild XP per anchor, greatly diminished after first downing of dolmen.

Sadly the "Too many players" issue is not present only at dolmens, its in delves as wwell.. Its not as bad as it was on the launch day, but whenever i go to delve, the places are killed empty, either i have to wait or run through the whole place with nothing to kill.. Then have to stand in "que" for the delve boss if you want any type of meaningful fight, there is always someoine waitin for a boss spawn and the worst is, that while Dolmens are designed to small groups, delves CLEARLY are designed for single player experience judging from strenth of everything inside.

No way. That is a big up side to eso, being able to receive rewards an unlimited number of times. Sorry but you just need to get over it instead of trying to change the game to meet your needs.

Hopefully they will never make these sort of changes to this game. If you could only get 1 dolmen chest a day certain jewelry sets would be ridiculous hard to get.

They need to leave dolmen and the like as is.

Also just because you don't like the farming aspect doesn't mean everyone shares your opinion. This is an mmo and you have to learn to adapt to others playing the game around you, and not want them to change the game to meet your needs.

As you have said most of the people must like the current system the way it is, so you want them to change it for a minority section of the player base.

Seems you want it to be single player when you choose, that is not how mmo work. You either are in a mmo or you are in a single player game, you can't pick and choose when you want to see people/share the game with others.

And to say that you can't play the proper way and get kills on the dolmen is kind of funny. How is your way the only "proper" way. Sorry but I believe they should not change something for a minority section of the playerbase when a majority like the current system.

Yeah, vendor giving them for free AND drops being BoP would be good but the XP grind still needs to go.

I am in every term towards a goal wwhere afk farming anything is something that profits nothing. Play if you play, otherwise logoff and watch TV..

Its really funny that people think they need these jewels but its min maxing that needs these and makes people need them not to be kicked from group.

The litle amount of dungeons i done or anything group related, its just like in Warcraft, everyone blaas about the importance of gear while the gear is allready too good on everyone., thats my opinion of gear.

And most games have these "needed" items BoP anyway so why not ESO?

If they truly spawn after 5 minutes when player aproaches them, its bad design, it might be convenient in principle but in reality, it ends up in horrible rotation zerg..

I still think the randomised spawn rate is better than anything else, be it something between 15 to 45 minutes.

Fighters guild dailies are problematic but maybe keep the reward same or bit better but only require one dolmen a day.

And the dolmen chest? One chest day/dolmen, thats quite enough, if gearing is pain, so is the constanrt overpopulation of dolmens.

PS: Just because many people like something in the game, does not automatically make it a good mechanic.

I used the Alik'R dolmen train to level a new character from lvl3 to lvl10 really quickly. It used to be so tedious doing the same tired old PVE quests to get new characters to a level where they can enter Cyrodiil... now it's so quick & easy!

Pre-One Tamriel I farmed Cadwelll Gold dolmens for the Lich set. The staff drop was so low that I did 1000s of dolmens before it dropped. The vast majority of these dolmens I solo'd due to the Cadwell gold areas were generally empty of players back then. I got the "Enemy of ColdHarbour" & "Daedric Lord Slayer" titles pretty quickly & then just kept doing dolmens for what seemed an eternity. I still enjoy dolmens for the spectacle of the daedra falling like meteors... but I am kinda glad I don't have to solo them anymore.. it's not that it is difficult... it's just it's done to death.

In short, I see no real issue with the dolmen farming.

It may be fast but it leaves you weaker. Get meteor or more skyshards till you hit 10.

As if it was not enough, that these zerg herds were allready ruining some of the quest areas by killing everything and spamming abilities, creating lag and all sorts of unenjoyable mayhem, now tthey do this in every dolmen as well.. Almost any time of the day, these are infested with players who really dont even play but smash a aoe button while watching a TV.

These Dolmens would be much better with just couple of players doing them, at most 4, otherwwise there are too many..

Now.. I do understand that some players are too bored with quests to do them and PVP does not grant good xp as far as i know.. Then if you want to do dungeons, you seem to be required to be at least level 50, otherwise elitist jerks will kick you out.
Now, we need some solutions, make dolmens and questing great again.. Perphaps we could improve the group finder to be more robust, give extra XP and items or other useful rewards on finish, also we could improve the way kicking people is handled but this is problematic, even with kick vote, people dont care enough to actually think if the kick is justified, they just click accept and go on.

In my mind, the group finder would be the best solution to give players other AND faster means to level to 50, greatly add XP, give finishing reward XP each time one is finished, improve the search options so people find groups faster and more easily.

It would not hurt, to also grant more XP from completing any mission, especially side quests seem to give very litle XP, that killing a mob gives, should be reduced by 1/3, in best grinding spots some more to make mob grinding unviable.

I want these zergs out of my sight ;)

If there is more than 6 players, spawn a heavily boosted Wrothgar or Hews Bane world boss. problem solved.

Problem is often not solved by saying problem solved.

Even if number of bosses is increased and heavily boosted, it wont take the zergs away and will not take the fps loss away. That wont solve the problem of free loot for no effortt which is no good for economy.

As long as the thing is predictable, it is systematically "Exploited" as it were.

It needs to be random, at least more random, items need to be bop or its 1 chest/day/dolmen.

As long as they are overpopulated, the problem exists, as people from Cyrodil know, zerg is a zerg no matter how you look at it and will effect game performance.

For the jewellery, we need jewelcrafting for that and for sets, well i think the best solution would be either give these away for some gold on some vendor OR the better solution, is that all sets are only made by crafters, thats the best solution for economy as well.

I don't know what the solution is, but I agree that these nuke groups running Dolmens all day are making the Dark Anchor experience pretty awful.

A player is upset that other players are doing what they want to do, but it isnt how he wants to play.

remember, if you are there, you are also part of the zerg, it may be for different reasons but you are still contributing to it.
