Lost all saved settings

This is the second time that this has happened and not sure why. Last time was a few months back. My first time logging on today and when I do all my settings even my settings for my add ons are completely reset to default like I am starting on a fresh computer? Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a way to retrieve my previous settings?

    It is always a wise idea to backup regularly your AddOn settings to avoid complete loss of saved settings:

    Go to C:\Users\YOURUSERACCOUNTNAME\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live\SavedVariables

    and backup the contents found in that folder.
