So ZOS listens to what people over there at mmorpg says about what goes on in their game, but not on their own forums? People been giving out their hearts and souls on this forum trying to give out helpful suggestions, but ZOS is nowhere to be seen. No twitter, nothing.

I guess I need to register for an account over there to get ZOS attention. Maybe my words might matter over there.

Daybreak, EA, Blizzard, and many other MMO companies do the same thing. It drives more hype for the game than forums can.

Lisening to the forums would require them playing the game to verify it.

And the sad fact is likely alot of them dont like to play the game, as it might in fact remind them of work.

A lot of them do play the game, just on anonymous accounts

That's the problem with player suggestions. I hate to say it but anyone that is an entrepreneur knows what I mean. Everyone thinks their idea is the best idea ever when it's not practical or it completely kills the real soul of the game. On the other hand there are a few really amazing ideas but they are few and far between.

Like that person saying to do away with all classes and let people build their own class from all the skills, that's *** stupid. This is Elder Scrolls, not a sandbox mmo.

Its true. I've seen Rich Lambert in Cyrodiil with my own two eyes (although I didn't realize it was him until he later made a post about it). I've also seen Brian Wheeler PVP with King Richard on twitch.

This game really doesn't need new classes.

People think they want new classes because they think new things are awesome, then comes the balance and the raging.

    Why not?

I've made suggestions before in some of those games I listed before and some of my ideas actually used. The difference is I won't call the devs incompetent or lazy in my post like many of you do. Who the hell listens to someone insulting them right off the bat? I'd ignore them out of principle.

Here's some tips on how to get a dev to listen:

    1. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Meaning don't insult, berate, or denigrate in any form the coders, artists, producers, or publisher of said game. Do NOT do this in reference to other games either. Many developers are contracted and work from company to company on a as needed basis.
    2. Be gracious and do not demand. Do not sensationalize. Keep a level head and explain the suggestion thoroughly. These people put their life and soul into the games they make (remember, devs are not finance, they're not the 'greedy ones'). So if you insult their game you insult them. See #1
    3. "Clear speech and clear writing is a sign of a clear mind" is something one of my college professors, retired marine, and PhD, once said. It makes your idea so much easier to read and lets the reader know you've got a head on those shoulders that has an idea of how some of this works.
    4. Keep your agendas out. Everyone has a favorite class or role or favorite archetype of character. Leave that out. When you get game-political (such as being anti-gank or favoring say Sorcs or Templars) it shows you have biased and you can be dismissed right out. You have to take a step back and take a neutral stance when you post an idea. Something that will help the entire community, not just you or people who play like you do.

Very very rarely do I see 'ideas' or suggestions posted with those things in mind. Most are hostile to the developers and outright insulting. Understand that in these forums, you ARE the vocal minority. They know how many forum accounts there are to game accounts. They can TELL when someone is just being angsty and filled with agenda. Its pretty easy.

Also when you are deliberately hostile they can flag you. Some forums have invisible flags that only the mods and devs can see. In some cases they can filter by these flags so that disruptive posters aren't seen. It allows them to filter through the mass of posts and get the real ideas. You can get these without ever breaking a rule. And never know it.
