Hello! I just reached CP160 on my stamblade. I got my skills and all that done, but I am wondering about gear. I am torn between TBS and Hunding's Rage. Opinions?
Fishoscandi - Orc NB
Cookie of Dough - Dunmer Templar
Smells Like Tree Spirit - Bosmer Sorc
TBS is widely considered to be better only in trials where you are getting a bunch of team buffs/debuffs. Hungings rage will better in most other situations.
I am planning on doing mostly dungeons. So TBS isn't as good in dungeons as it is in trials, eh? I don't think I'm touching trials until I get him up to 300-ish. Maybe normal trials.

It's not that TBS won't be good in dungeons or vMA (provided you use thief/shadow), just not quite as good as NMG or Hunding's- sets that have 2/3/4 pieces also that benefit your dps, where TBS only has max stats. The max health can be helpful, however, if you struggle to stay alive.
Right, forgot to mention in the main post-I was thinking of going 5 TBS/Hundings with a 4 piece NMG or Night Silence(for some resources) until I get my Kragh.

Decent placeholder gear. As far as I know, the best non-trial gear setup you can currently use is dual wield/bow with kraghs, 5 hundings/NMG and 5 spriggan. Any variation of these sets will work fine in dungeons though.
I suspect...but it's too late for math...that there's a curve where TBS gets better faster than Hundings as you accumulate CPs, so that if they're very close at C561, Hundings might be better at lower CPs. Why? The two mundus stone buffs will factor into things you're incrementally making stronger with CPs. But maybe not.
Anyway, my Stamblade made a gold c160 set of Hundings many moons ago, and it gets me through any undaunted, any overland crud, dailies, craglorn (when it was actually fun and challenging) and most anything else.
For monster sets I use one Kragh. I don't find 2 piece of Kragh so good. I think it comes decent on long fights where sustain is a must but I want to focus getting them down fast.
