Stamina Gear Update 13

Now that Twice born is getting basically nerfed with the changes to CRIT and Warhorn. What will be the new best in slot.

There are not as many options and no other clearly great sets like BSW for magicka.

Some theories of mine are Hundings - NMG - automaton( maybe for sorc and templars) of all these sets which would be best or is it something else?

A set that could really use a bonus would be Briar heart it addresses some of the issues with stamina namely healing thoughts DPS, however with its long cooldown it doesn't seem to compete with Hundings, it could really use the BSW treatment and get a buff.

So for the stamina DPS mains out there and theory crafters what would be the new stam BIS?

The problem with leviethan is it is a pure CRIT set. With the CRIT nerfs it's getting hit hard.

Twice fanged serpent will most likely be the bis for stamina next patch. As crit builds getting nerfed, penetration builds will be preferred and this set gives highest penetration.

For PvE, nothing changes except for TBS.

1) Core sets :

Casual end game or solo : spriggan (TFS is bugged) / hunding for craft

Hard core gamer group utility : TBS + Alkosh + NMG + Automaton (for Stamplar) + Sunderflames

EDIT : Penetration set like TFS and Spriggan are useless is there an alkosh tank + a NMG runner... or need precise/nirnhorned weapons traits, but loss of dps.

2) Jewelry : the same as before.

3) Monster set : 2 Kragh or 2 Kena or 1 Kragh + 1 max Weap'Damage

For PvP... proc sets noobs users still OP, but... stay high with no proc set, more beautiful gameplay

But damn it sure is going to be a really rough patch for stamina

I don't think proc sets will be dead. The crit nerf aren't enough to kill them.

True, but selene proc twice and viper from range, for this sets it will be harder to kill fast without bug.

Not trolling but not contributing either lol. I am not asking about the validity of stamina DPS, I am asking about what sets people think will replace TBS for stam DPS. As we already know BSW and maybe necropotence will jump in for magicka.

4-man content, I think it's optimized to run 5 Sunderflame / 5 NMG or Hunding's + 2 Velidreth / 1 Kra'gh + 1 Veli (personally I recommended 2 Veli when doing dungeons (added aoe damage potential). If you have VO then, 3 VO, 5 Sunder, 2 Velidreth, + 2 Maelstrom DW.

With Sunderflame + NMG + Sharpened + Major fracture, you penetration is roughly 16.4k, and if you add 1 kragh, you reach max pen! I think everyone agrees that penetration is awesome; this is especially true with the crit nerf, so why not stack it as close to 18k as possible.

Trials; if the group decides to bring stamboys I think it's quite mandatory to always have NGM and Sunderflame.

I've just swapped to 5 VO, 5 spriggan and two TBS for the health bonus (to compensate for loss of undaunted passive health bonus, and it already being legendary). I was running 5 TBS, 5 Spriggan and velidreth (one heavy one medium for undaunted).

I hope the new build works

I dislike how penetration is so much more beneficial that actually making a build is very easy. I honestly want to try other set combos but they're no where near as good as sets that offer Penetration or -Resistance. To me this is a problem.

I said this before in some other thread. In my opinion, penetration should be apart of all sets.

For Example:

(2 Items) Adds 967 Maximum Stamina. Adds 688 Physical Penetration.
(3 Items) Adds 688 Weapon Critical. Adds 688 Physical Penetration.
(4 Items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage. Adds 688 Physical Penetration.
(5 Items) [Insert some description detailing what you get for the 5th matching item.] Adds 688 Physical Penetration.

Don't think on the values too much, it's just an example of how I think some sort of balance could be brought to all Item Sets so that people could actually play around with new Set combos without it just being "playing around".
