I've finally put on my 5-piece Alkosh for my tank (finally got the 1-h and shield; still waiting for perfect trait to turn to gold)! I love the blue glowy effect. However, I haven't seen much of an animation/indications when I activate a syngery. So, I want to make sure I fully understand it.
1. Does EVERY syngery trigger the 5-piece bonus? e.g. shards, purify, conduit...
2. Is the shockwave a radius, a cone or targeted at an enemy?
2a. If it's a cone/radius does anyone know the area of effect?
2b. If it's targeted, I assume this works like every other targeting, just aim the cursor at the target.
3. I don't see a mention of a cool down, so my assumption is that there is no disadvantage to syngergizing before the 10 seconds expire; I'd assume the 10 second timer just starts over.
4. Is the "shockwave" only ground based? i.e. will it hit enemies that are flying/hovering?

Also, please let me know if there are any "tricks" to using the set properly.
