Go stamplar, @Pallio Please tell me how stam dk is the strongest stam build. If you literally talk about 'Well Stam DK synergizes best with x meta' then you don't know what you're talking about. @Syiccal I say go stamplar as a person who's played the DK class since the release of craglorn and I've played the stamina variant since it was released on consoles. If you want to heavy attack animation cancel every weapon ability you have at your disposal then go stam DK.

People will often preach about how battle roar is powerful (Situational it is but it is no longer what it used to be so get over it) or how helping hands stamina return is the best thing ever (news flash sorcs has an ability that gives stam/health back + we have to pay almost half of our mag pool of 10k just to get 5% of our max stam back so please stop).
They may even cite their favorite line which is "Stam DK synergizes so well with the current heavy armor meta and proc sets", before they would talk about the wrecking blow meta, and the ransack reverb meta which again EVERY CLASS HAS ACCESS TO IT HOW DOES STAM DK DO BETTER NO CLUE.

I will say we have a good ultimate for PvP (Corrosive armor) and igneous shield/fossilize are both good utilities but as a Stam DK that will more than likely be the only thing you use unless you wanna use noxious breath (which I do but since it's inconsistent with debuffs, misses the target at close range, and hits so low, I typically use it as a detect pot looking for an enemy that has stealth'd in front of me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but stamplars got that circle that heals them over time + slows enemies within it, they've got like 4% reduction in resource + ultimates, they have access to purify, and they've got some decent jabs that will soon get a buff. If you compare a heavy armor DK to a heavy armor stamplar sure we may win because of the healing passive and battle roar (as the fight will last long) but that's it. Only if we're able to build ultimates using heroic slash while mixing in some earthen heart is when we have an advantage because we do better in the extremely late game.

Who say stam dk strongest and stamplar weakest? How do you know? This myth is a year old, back when maelstrom daggers was giving 3k wpn dmg and before the nerf of standard of might and rearming trap, core dps skills for a DK together with venomous claw. Next patch, base dmg counts more then ever, and stamplar have more wpn and crit dmg then a DK. Also, power of the light 2 times in a rotation, are underestimated. I also believe they reduced the cost of jabs if Im not mistaken.

I would say stamplar are stronger. All your abilities will hit for more then with a DK due to their passives, and they have general better aoe and can support with power of the light.

Yeah that I will agree with you when it comes to single target for PvE only (In regards with Stamina DK being better then Stamplar). PvP wise yeah you seem to get it, People need to understand that playing Stamina DK in PvP is definitely not fun. I get irritated at how other classes have access to so much and on top of that a skill that help us stand our ground (Flames of Oblivion) was stolen and given to sorcerers like talk about a heated back hand to the face.

I only play DK because I refuse to give up on the class that I was first drawn to because of of the flaming circle (flames of oblivion AoE), it's unfortunate that I've lost it but I will continue to wage the battle to reclaim what was ours.

In my experience since dueling was introduced stamplars give me the most trouble. They have high burst potential. Honestly I feel they are under rated in pvp.

And in duels between stamplar and sdk is rough.
The spiked armor itself can do a decent Amout of damage of your jabs.

StamDK is the worst Stam class for PVP after the next patch.

NBs have more burst, stealth, a class spammable & a heal debuff.
Sorcs have more damage, better sustain, better mobility, a great cc & if you choose to run Crit surge/Rally/Vigor -- the best healing.
Templars have more damage, a class spammable, a stamina based cc, group utility and are nearly on par healing wise, and tanky-wise.

There's not a good reason to play StamDK next patch other than if you simply like the class. They aren't the best at anything, rather they're average-good in most areas. In nearly every single situation you find yourself in, you'll be better off with a StamSorc. That's the relevant comparison because they're the two classes which are forced into Dizzy Swing, and StamSorc just outperforms -- completely outclasses it in everything apart from being less tanky. My hurricane is critting people for 2-4k -- that's like an AoE venom claw.

Honestly, Helping Hands needs to restore more stam -- and key abilities like Igneous & Armor need their costs reduced by 10-15%. Take flight needs an added effect to at least make it better than DBoS. This is the class I main in PVP, and every day I ask myself why that is.
