Guild Trader Motif Filter Suggestion

Finding specific motifs at guild traders is really boring and time consuming. Could a filter be added for Style? Perhaps another filter for known/unknown motifs? This would make searching traders so much easier. Thanks!

Search bar isn't keeping it simple. You're adding in chance for errors.

    I like a simple filter:

    -known / unknown
-motif name drop down (includes all slots using unknown filter)
-armor / weapon drop down ( no selection pulls all)

Remove color qualities and replace with the above

I would like to see an Awesome Guild Store type UI for the guild traders. I don't really know how people use the store UI without it.

To me it seems it would be much easier to just type in what you're looking for then to go through a series of drop downs. A search function would also help with everything, not just searching for motifs armor and weapons. It seems to work well for those with access to add-ons.

    How so?

It's faster to select a drop down vs typing and a drop down removes accidental typos.

There aren't many motifs to filter through.
You're only filtering in the unknown motif and then selecting the broader motif. Not motif name and slot

That's a different filter if you even want to go down that deep. But it's an option cause sometimes things pile up

Curious why you say typing is better

Yup, a search bar would defo help. Especially when you're looking for a set but not specific pieces of that set. Would be great to see all the gear available rather than having to search for each type. What's more annoying is having to reverse the list based on cost. If there's sooo many items in that list could easily miss a bargain right down the bottom.

Easy: For PC, typing is way easier, while for console, a dropdown is easier.

    Platform disparities strike again!
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

I guess for the majority it might be easier with the drop down, but myself, I would prefer a search function. I'm thorough enough that I'm sure I'd avoid typos and I also have a chatpad so typing isn't so cumbersome, but I suppose the majority of people probably don't. With that being said I would think it would be pretty easy for ZoS to add a search function since it's already been done by others through add-ons.

For PC a search would be easier but I'm on PS4, so a dropdown would be better for us console players.
