Fellow ESOers
I have been a mainly PVE player and Solo most of the time with little or no assistance.
I have ventured into the PVP area and love it but I need some assistance with my Build.
My main character is a Nord Nightblade 430+ but I know my build is rubbish can anyone assist.
I have trolled the net but it is so confusing to an older player that is not online every day (work commitments).
So in advance I thank you for any help you can give.
Cheers
Birchy

    Thanks Berenhir
    Already running Clever Alchemist
Will need to save up Telvars for Black Rose
Apart from Delves is there an easy way to get the Viper Gear?

    Champion Point split?

Thanks for your help so far this is sending me in the right direction.

There are some Viper pieces still on guild traders, at least on PC EU. But as Viper is BoP now, you can only obtain new pieces from Fungal Grotto if you don't want to buy or don't find the right trait.

But I repeat, next patch gonna change everything, especially for proc sets like viper.

Champion Points depend on your traits and your overall setup. Just put them where you think improvement is needed. Push hardy and ele defender, aim for at least 2k crit resist. And max poins into mighty.

More important than your stats is your playstyle, that is especially true for stamnbs. Fear whenever Cc immunity allows it, utilize shuffle and vigor and learn the timing for rally heals. Key to the kill is burst when defense is low.

You shouldn't have problems with killing though, but maybe with survival and escaping. Just try things out in Cyrodiil until you get a bit frustrated, then don't quit but watch we YouTube how other people play their nightblades.

Another key component is that you know the mechanics, like in PvE. In PvP you have to know every class and their skills and passives by heart. You need the ability to recognise, even anticipate which skill your opponent is going to use and which skills usually are combined. You have to learn the different builds, recognise gear sets and train your situational awareness.

When you die, and you're gonna die A LOT, try to analyse what went wrong. No stamina left after you panicked? Targeted the tank like a taunted mob while his DPS buddy killed you? You can only learn from mistakes and experience. There is no magic gear set or CP allocation that teaches how to PvP. The moment you understand PvP mechanics, you will be able to create your own unique playstyle and pick the most effective sets for your way of playing your char.

Your first decision must be the one between magicka and stamina skills as your resource of damage. You cannot use both. So are you a magblade or stamblade?

    Edit: Title says Stam.

So next decision: Ganker or group player?

For open world roaming I'd pick
Viper (3x Jewelry, 1 body, 1 sharpened 2handed weapon front bar)
Clever Alchemist (4 pieces heavy body, bow backbar)
    Selene/Velidreth Monster set 1pc heavy 1pc medium

On your bars you'll want vigor, rally, shuffle, poison injection, relentless focus, incapacitating strike, executioner, surprise attack, ambush and whatever else you like.

Next patch gonna change the meta significantly.

So you might want to wait before any serious investment.

I'd propose changing the gear to 5 black rose 5 clever alchemist for tankyblade then. but that's pure speculation as noone knows how homestead changes will work together.
