✭✭No changeMake all dungeons easy enough to faceroll. Get what you want then improve it. Drop Maelstrom and DSA weapons from normal. Players would still have to run content.......plenty of high level players still have problems with normal in my experience.

How about after you run vMA 200 times you can turn in your 200 tokens for the item you actually want?
Most dungeons are already easy enough to solo on normal so outside of jewelry it is a mindless slog for gear to improve.0 -

This is too all or nothing. There is no reasonable justification to have to run a dungeon hundreds of times for a single category of item. It makes the game too grindy and the player base bitter.
There should be a light at the end of the tunnel so a player can say, "I'll run this xxx number of times and if I don't get my drop I'll at least be able to turn in Y item for it." Instead it is, run it 100 times, get burned out and quit.

Point of the thread should have been more clear, this way it will (or has) descend to BoP vs BoE discussion, which If you read properly is not the issue OP stated.
Point is you CANNOT IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE get BoP gear hidden behind pay wall (obviously without paying). That really needs to change. It doesnt really matter how. Important is to create the way, where currently is none.Edited by SodanTok on January 24, 2017 4:59PM1 -

But I must say, I've run content a lot more since the changes because farming the gear has given me something to aim for. If it was BOE I likely would have purchased what I want, as I wanted it, and run the content a lot less.

Problem is it goes like this, 1) buy the DLC, 2) run the content hundreds of times, 3) never see the drop you are working for. There needs to be an alternate path so that hours and hours and hours of time out in can eventually get some payout.

Trial gear itself should always be BoE. It should always require actually doing the content to get the gear.
The only BoE gear that did drop in trials can be moved back in but that's a different story.
vMA will remain as the it is. If someone doesn't want to pay for access to new content they clearly don't want access to it. Not reason to expect it for free.
VMA, vMoL and the 4 DLC dungeons will always require DLC access though access to older DLCs will become cheaper just like we saw the 4 initial DLCs bundled.0 -

this economy is horrible now pigeon holing everyone to running the same stuff, rather than buffing sets and unused morphs to support niche builds.

You think after running COA 300 times, we could earn a sharp inferno staff? I mean youre at the mercy of RNG, has nothing to do with being able to complete the content.
I would have rather spent 1 or 3 runs getting the pvp gear i wanted, and spend the rest of the time actually playing the content I want to play, rather than spending my time grinding in order to play the content I want.0
