What do you consider a waste and could be stripped from the game?

Please keep conversation polite. No flaming ZOS; devs past or present. This is not a focus on skill nerfs, unless you can fit it to the topic without salty opinionated flamethrowers. What could be taken out of TESO that no one (not just you alone) would miss that might free up some bulk programming space?

I personally think the armor repairs system could be completely removed and no one would miss it.

    well in cryodiil, inside of the castles there are guards around the wayshrine teleport stones inside every single castle. [thats alot of useless guards]
    those guards not only are completely not in lore but, they are also rude in thier comments to us. and they serve really no purpose.
    in addition to that those guards get in the way when you spawn at the castle wayshrines and often times i cant move, forced to go around them.
    i see zero use for those guards being there, i consider them a waste, and they could easily be removed and stripped from the game, it would put a smile on my face and many others with them gone.
    but that's just my opinion.

    The attitude of NPCs being so repetitive. The constant threatening/condescending nature of many NPCs in a "joking manner." Enemy NPCs talking about your accomplishments in an odd manner.

    Quotes that bug me...

    i absolutely agree. infact that is the sole purpose i shut off NPC talking.

    They could remove the entire Vestige quest line and it wouldn't affect the rest of the game other than the Soul Magic skill line that could be integrated into the 1-50 leveling.

    The '10 pounds of ugly fat' line always bothers me because if we're measuring game distance in meters, we should be measuring game mass in kilograms.

    It's even weirder when you realize that TES has this semi-random set of weights, and doesn't use either the Imperial or Metric system.

    Different nationalities work on the game and write story line and dialogue. They just never made agreements on what kind of measuring system they would use. Therefore both are used.

    Traits.

    There is always going to be a single mathematically optimal trait for each class/role. All other traits are useless in comparison. No amount of balancing can fix this. It's just the way math works.

    The only purpose traits serve right now is to make grinding as torturous as possible.

    Removal of guild trade,now each player can have a vendor at there house which can be accessed through a house menu( this will free up lag in crowded cities)fees will be implied for listing,but only taken if an item is sold.
    Removal of classes,instead you pick skills limited to no overlapping(i.e. one execute,one gap closer,etc)
    World and guild trees remain
    Armor restyling after lvl 50
    Progressive dungeons with custom group sizes (mobs get tougher after each completion and increase in numbers.group size can be any amount up to 24 and the dungeon will scale) optional to turn off.
    Tutorial zone (a place where beginners can learn things like combat/crafting while getting a xp buff.vet players can participate as a "mentor" and earn a title and some cool things for helping them once they complete it. (Only doable 1/acct)

    Just some ideas that probably suck.

    Also, not sure about this entirely would need someone's confirmation, there seems to be emotes that are exactly the same animation just worded differently? Not talking the extended ones that run on longer cycles.
