Tired of being kicked out of the dungeon after completion when the leader leaves

I've had this issue come up so much. I'm doing a dungeon for the first time so I'm doing the quest. We finish the final boss and the group leader immediately leaves, kicking me out of the dungeon before I can complete the quest and get my skill point. I suggest disbanding the group but NOT kicking everyone out of the dungeon so they can finish up what they need to do. Simple solution.

Well the leader needs to learn to leave and not disband

That's the issue. It's a player behavior issue not a game design. Make sure to communicate far ahead of getting to the end

    ALSO
Some groups are preformed and you're added later. In those cases ppl may leave as well so if ur alone I'll still get kicked.

Basically just communicate better but some ppl will still leave cause they don't have any interest in staying for you as it's no benefit to them.

This actually happened to me earlier with Tempest Island. Not sure why Zeni cares how long you stay in an instanced dungeon.

I agree. You should have more time to run back and collect anything you missed, especially if the group was rushing and you were at risk of being left behind if you stopped for anything. This is even more paramount when you don't know your way around the dungeon and are forced to stick to the group like glue.

It shouldnt kick everyone out of the dungeon when the group disbands.

The amount of times Ive had to re-run the same dungeon because the NPC wouldnt stop yapping before giving the option to complete the quest before all getting kicked out.

This is very much another pug player attitude problem as opposed to a technical issue. But that's not to say we need a tech change to overule rude pugs! But it would be better if people checked before skipping off, I always do.

Actually it is bad game design. There's absolutely no reason you need to be kicked from the dungeon because everyone else left. You can go into a dungeon by yourself and spend as much time as you'd like in there. Why should it be any different because you happened to be in a group?

Why not put a five minute window after final boss for each player before the game does an auto kick instead of kicking the whole group. Another solution, add a Way Shrine that teleport the player back to their last location in off room near the boss last fight.

Why kick them at all? If you solo a dungeon you don't get kicked after beating the final boss, you could literally spend all day in there.

    @Danksta
It's not a bad design at all. There are literally hundreds of thousands of players going in and out. Instances can't be held open for long after completion cause it takes resources.

The opportunity perhaps is to ask for ppl to wait or to go back in queue and/or join with friends or guild folk. It happens to us all but it's not a big deal cause you're gonna go back.

It doesn't matter when you're added. In One Tamriel you get asked to accept quest progress.

It should kick people when the dungeon is still going, it should NOT kick if the dungeon (final boss) has been killed already.

Yes, I don't like this option at all, and am unsure why it's in place.
It would be nice for it to be removed.
Some dungeons are truly gorgeous and I'd like time to faff about and look at them, and similar. But you don't get this opportunity very often. Additionally some chests are -very- tricky to find so it would be nice to have the opportunity reliably to search about for them.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Agree, I've had to desperately beg groups not to disband to finish up my quests. I've been lucky and been able to complete all of the quests. However there should be a longer timer for folks wanting to just poke around afterwards since so many groups run through leaving behind many goodies.

ZOS should just do what other MMO's do - if the leader leaves then the group leader role should pass to one of the remaining people. That way if you want to mooch around afterwards and everyone else leaves - you'll be passed leader and won't be kicked.

I never thought about this, that's an awesome idea. Makes perfect sense.

Uhm that is what it does.

Are we all playing the same game?
U just can't stay solo in an activity finder group

I agree with this but for my own reasons. I'd like to go back through the dungeon and look for loot. Groups often rush as fast as humanely possible and we miss a lot and if you fall behind you'll get left out of boss fights or you'll get kicked. No one cares about loot, but I do :(
Today is a blessing. Yesterday is in the past and tomorrow is a mystery.

I don't see the reason behind players choosing to disband. If you click "leave", the crown is moved to someone else and only you're removed from the Dungeon. I'm sure the majority of players know what happens when you choose to Disband, and a part of me wants to believe they do it intentionally.
