I just meant people being very immature in general over duelling.

I've gotten some hate tells for winning. XD Using mines. Killing someone with soul assault. I used an immovable pot because some Templar wouldn't stop spamming jabs constantly, and nothing else. He said I was a cheap d*** for using it and killing him.

But dueling is still fun, it's good practice as Lexxy said. Just try not to take it or yourself too seriously.

Yup it's definnately fun and constructive when trying stuff out like you say. Would it still be as fun if we didn't have sore losers? Nah not for me. Their rage gives us something to LOL about hah.

I hate it when someone uses the destro ultimate against me in a duel as you have no chance against it with most stam build and afterwards you'll find yourself with out resources as you needed them to survive the ultimate.
Every other ultimate is fine but Eots is way too powerful in 1v1 and is on par with poisons or proc sets. I play a pure bow build and can compete with most of the cancer but I often see myself being insulted after I won the duel because I'm a noob spaming snipe in a duel and timing burst with spectral bow, poison injection dot, lethal arrow, heavy attack, agony and shooting star.

My point is that in a duel you shouldn't use broken mechanics to win and feel good about it.

Honorable rule: empty your ult before the duel. But there is nothing wrong with using it. The guy you duelled is a l2p case quite obviously.

Thats the devs fault not the players. Got to admit alot of players are frustrated with the destro ultimate. I also think it's safe to say that everyone wants their characters to perform in the best way possible. All anyone can do is take full advantage of the arsenal that's available and there's nothing wrong with that. For things like OP abilities we normally channel our frustration to ZOS and like Jesus beam something will be done about it eventually. Theres no justification to having a bad attitude to players based on what skills they're using. They're not doing anything illegal. They're just playing the game and winning as many times as they can before their build gets nerfed to uselessness.

If you can't handle being wiped, don't ask to duel.

I only accept duels when I know there's a chance of winning. Whenever someone wants to Duel me I just give em a look over, see what weapons and armor they're wearing, maybe even see what class they are depending on what abilities they've already for some reason been spamming before time, and if I know that person would wipe the floor with my character, then I immediately decline.

I mean as other people have said, Duels are more or less pointless and just another way of losing to other players outside of Cyrodiil. Yeah what other people say to you can get under your skin pretty easily once you hear/read it, but it doesn't change the fact that they're still spewing nothing but bull.

Duel me then, I don't use ultimates or proc sets because I don't want to win that way...even if it means losing most of the time.
I don't duel in trader areas or at wayshrines though. I usually will challenge someone to duel while waiting on a dolmen or world boss to spawn to pass the time.

ha I think people do that with me when they see that I'm a redguard stamblade or altmer vamp sorc and assume that I'm hiding monster/proc sets behind my costume when it's actually purple mixed gear

I play on XBNA if you ever want to have a fair fight some night. I'm CP 550 and pretty crappy at pvp

Nope, defo heard that one being moaned about. They must be scared of your gamertag. Jimbullbee doesn't really give out the chills lol

Incap comes around so quickly that it's part of my rotation with my NB. I kinda doubt players are worried about my gamertag... usually I get smashed in duels... maybe that's why they don't moan about my Incap! LOL!

I disagree that duels are useless though. They can really highlight problems with your build (for PVP / duels).

Someone randomly duel challenged me the other day, then yelled at me for dropping my storm atronach on their head and doing my level best to keep them slowed and kited until they died. I have no idea how to pvp all fancy-like on here. I just went facefirst into it and tried to do my best with what I had going on.

So I yelled at them for using a greatsword. They called me a scrub, and I agreed.

I've been playing for like...3 months. Of course I'm a scrub.

But I didn't die duel challenging scrubs then, did I.

Not a fan of dueling. Limits build diversity. I'd rather see players create specialized builds for group pvp weather it be small/medium/large. I only Duel my friends because it becomes less about Ego and more about trying to have fun.

Limits build diversity?

A S&B/Destro magbalde.

A hybrid Nord Sorceror with all defending weapons (pelinal's fury).

A light armor wardless magicka sorc (spectre's Eye + troll king).

A reflect-based DK (nightshade + twin sisters).

The single trolliest roll dodge build (crusader + way of air).

A stamplar ult rend spammer (WW hide + bloodspawn + witchman's)

Dueling is the only place true build diversity exists.
