Heavy attack bonus sets

Ive seen in the upcoming patch things like aether proccing on all ticks of lightning staff channel being removed, so i wanna know, does the damage bonus for sets like sergeant and infallible aether still buff all ticks or only the last one? If its only the last i can see build diversity dieing even more in this game, no more heavy attack builds

Is there really someone wearing Sergeant with a lightning staff? I couldn't even get it to work in combo with other heavy attack sets on a stam character.

Ive seen ppl combo aether, sergeant and the charged back bar staff to perma off balance enemies, dealing a crapton of damage on heavy channels, even up to 40k dps

It got nerfed.. The bonus damage is applied only on the last tick if the tooltip says fully charged.. So IA sergent mail combo is not as good anymore..

I got my first 550k vma score today with aether, sergeant and a sharpened vma lightning. That build is the best you can have for soloplay on a mag dk, it really is vma easy mode. Here's a video of me doing vma with a similar build (elegance instead of sergeant), before I knew how strong sergeant was:

In terms of heavy attack bonuses, I'll link you a thread from the PTS forums (sergeant got nerfed, aether still applies on every tick of a heavy channel):

In my signature you find two builds that center around this idea and @Redvyperofdorne has one too, all dishing out strong single target dps and amazing aoe damage.

The undaunted unweaver set boosts heavy damage by almost as much without the fully charged caveat and is light.

@Masel92 ive seen this video already and is awesome indeed, bjt these nerfs really turn me down and im positive aether still working is a bug, since the description is the same

@WalksonGraves the problem is unweaver is light but has 2 stam bonuses and u gotta cast stam ability to proc, infiltriator is the opposite, but its a medium set, zos logic

I already use rearming trap so I have stam in the rotation, in anything but light you lose a ton of spell pen and crit.

There is no other set that replaces infallible in those builds, damagewise.

My first post was aimed at @runagate

we'll see how it goes, and if it's the case that it gets nerfed, I'll have to come up with something else.

I really hope it doesnt, cuz u may swap sergeant for elegance or undaunted unweaver perhaps, wish i could use the pts for testing, console should have one

The infallible aether got killed, just tested it again and it doesn't buff all ticks of heavy attacks anymore, it's only the debuff that gets applied on all ticks. So for vMA, I'd have to come up with something else than aether and elegance (maybe undaunted infiltrator/unweaver and elegance, I'd have to test or bsw and elegance).
