ESO: A love/hate relationship?

I don't know how much longer I can play this game. :/
Writs were fun and fruitful. Now, I don't like how poor the writ rewards have become (I do all six writs on eight toons daily.)
My "RNG" as well as in-game latency has taken a turn for the worse since OneTamriel patch. I have thoughts as of why this is so.
Talking and playing with my friends is entertaining and memorable. Because of the repetition of things we do, or more like the lack of new things to do together, I focus less and my mind wanders more.
I like farming and selling things but the competition drags me down at times. Notably, it's when every zone I port to is crowded with fellow farmers that I get this way, causing a longing for the time when we had the Cadwell's Silver & Gold zones.
Generally, I enjoy the community in the game, however, there are always going to be trolls, rude, and filthy people who abuse the chat. Thanks for the /ignore option, I guess.
I enjoy crafting for random people who ask for help, still, I have never seen so many players "in need" with discourteous and inconsiderate attitudes as there are now. What happened? Did I pull a "Rumplestiltskin" and wake up decades later to something absurd?
This is a game- an amazing world of fantasy- and I bought it as a distraction from personal torments AND because it looked very fun. When the game developers do little to nothing about lag, bugs, exploits and their exploiters, bots, cheat engine users, etc. even after endless complaints from their player base, well, it leads me to really question why I am still here, still feeling a bitterness, still subscribing like the "craft bag" strumpet that I am.
Clearly, there still are things I do find fun, and specifically as of the OneTamriel patch, I find those good reasons to stay being outweighed by the things that make me not even want to log in anymore.
And yes, if I leave you can have my stuff :/

Love the game the combat, the lore, my friends and guild mates, hate the lack of content these days, the cheating, the exploiting the bugs and broken mechanics and zos's lackadaisical attitude about fixing anything that adversely affects the player base.

I still play but have cut my time way back, I still have a sub, but not sure for how much longer the road ahead better be a good one could use a morale boost, housing sounds cool but that is not content, it is a feature.

Did not read TBH but I too have a love hate relationship with ESO I use to like how the game was but now with the huge imbalance with pvp it's just not the same.

Even the pve is worst I know 1T was great for letting ppl play together and good for the game but I miss haveing to work to get to the next zone felt more like an mmo.

The developers did wat they wanted they made an mmorpg into a single player rpg with tons of ppl doing what ever. Maybe I'm just old school but I like traditional mmorpg and having to work to be at end game and pvp. This game is really not made for people looking for an mmorpg it's made for the casuals.

The game is in a bad state lets hope 2017 will be more fruitful when it comes to content. Also maybe zos will buy more hamsters wheels for there server room.

Of all the things it's the lack of storage that's killing it for me. It's just not fun fiddling between mules and having to spend time preparing to playing the game instead of playing the game.

Sounds like you could use a break.

Go on a cruise, learn a foreign language, play a diff game, etc...

The most important thing is that devs realizes that we have on and off relationship, thats why no-lifers/HC game never work.

This isn't meant to be a "goodbye post". It was just a way to get this off of my chest, which in turn makes it easier for my husband to live with me :D

Hopefully Matt Firor's year head article will build some much needed hype. Soon(TM).

^ This is part of why I do still play the game. You have good ideas. Just when I feel like doing something irrational, like giving away all my in-game belongings and deleting characters, I step away to my husband's favorite mmo or I play some single-player games.

I think part of the problem is your compedativeness level.

Would you enjoy playing with "bad gear" or a stange build... or would you see it and just know it is terrible and it would bother you. Or see someone else with it.

I have just started, I personally like to know things about whatever I am doing, I can know what is BiS learn why it is BiS.. then do something different because... I want to.

Oh I lagged.. and died, well dieing happens. *shrug*
opps someone 1 shot me... I'll screenshot that and add it to my collection of getting 1 shot. It is asuming for me.

You know what I mean, but it is strange there is only just a small time in basically any game where you can enjoy just being bad before you start resenting that you are bad and improve and while you are improve there is a sweet spot where you aren't useless but still laid back. You find failure as a challange to improve and not as an affront to your skill.

Bugs, exploits, cheaters, they suck. But I think it is important that you having done the thing without cheating is enough for you and other people cheating doesn't take away from your skill or your hard work in achieving it. You did that thing you did, how someone else does it doesn't take it away from you.

I am concerned about the lag issues, I am hoping it is actually a positive thing, that the word is out about 1T improving the game and people are joining and returning. I would encourage ZoS to use any extra cash flow they are getting from this to invest it back into thier servers or they are going to lose that business again. But I understand everything takes time.

Take a step away and get some perspective and time away

Sorry that you're struggling a bit. We all hope for improvements to some of the little things that distract or even irritate in Tamriel.

Sometimes, my elf just loves to hop on her precious mare and slowly ride - avoiding the resting foes and enjoying the beautiful scenery and music. :)

Game is still awesome to me. Though I only joined back in like August, but if I have time I can still get on ESO and have some fun. The RNG is my only problem I have with this game for the most part.
