Do you hate when quests get finished by someone else?

    Yes.
I can certainly understand and appreciate being irritated having quests completed as you approach the final part.

My own take is surely a special-purpose minority opinion as to why I don't actually mind. My character is a healer and her focus - even when not grouped - is the health bars of friendlies around her. She is right in her element tagging loosely along behind others during a quest trying to help heal/buff them while cursing and doing some dps to foes. So it is not unusual for her sometimes have a quest complete while she is still on the fringes. To her, success is not seeing any friendly players die.

Good reasoning, i have one such healer myself but she does not really do quests. She mostly Travels around Tamriel by foot collecting herbs for health remedies and whenever she sees someone in fight against evil, an individual or group, she throws healing in the mix, aiding those in need. If i did quests and this happened when playing her, i dont think i woul much mind if someone else slays the boss.

Though exactly people playing differently, having different takes on these kinds of situations, i think it is more important to give control to players to choose whether to share these locations with anyone or select friends or do alone. This way anybody could choose the way they prefer to do it according to personal taste or characters needs.

I like it in Star trek online where you can choose whether to share quest areas (ANY quest area) with others or do alone/own group. This way there are no conflicts of personal opinions on the scene. Anyone can do it how they want.

I can't stand when people race past me in a delve/public dungeon to kill the boss ahead.

It is enough irritation to me alone when i try to play sneaky character and people just race pass me, ruining the sneaky experience just by being there. I often wish these long lost ruins wwould not be so popular tourist atractions.. Its like going for a vacation to see the sights >.<

I encounter a sneaky type like you every now and then...i'll try to let them get their sneak attacks in before zapping mobs with my lightning. I don't run through dungeons but I also don't have patience to wait on someone to sneak all the way thru.
