Most Frustrating / Unforgiving Grind You've Done?

What grind really makes you want to keel over when you hear about it? Were you successful at completing / obtaining what you needed from each grind? Do you think others should never touch this grind for the sake of the horrors you've witnessed?
I honestly hated running for emp leaderboards. Before or even now, you have to make this game your full-time job twice over to get a shot at the top 3 of your faction. Even then, you have to make sure you run to get your 20% AP bonus every 20 or so minutes, repair every wall that isn't 99%, leech ticks for hours, and grab as many kills as you can while staying awake. The amount of coffee I consumed once when I attempted emp on NA left me sick for days, and I barely made it into the top 10. It was extremely unforgiving for me, and often times, your faction won't even crown you emp if they suck or don't care.

I haven't done any vMA grinding yet because I am waiting for Update 13 when the dual wield weapons will now drop together for better odds. I am currently doing Master Angler which can get frustrating but I am gonna stick it out till the end. My next grind is gonna be leveling up Alliance ranks on my new PvP characters.2 -

I think they talking about the kill a delve boss in Cyrodiil and you get an AP gain bonus.
As for me, my hardest grind was running norm Blackheart Haven for Sturdy Knight-Errant's Greaves. Never found them

New motifs coming with each update for the then outdated zone with a low drop rate. Not only have you done this contents before (and this thus serves only to make areas look more popular by arificially extending its lifetime), the low drop chance from daily chests, combined with a terrible RNG make this even worse. Forcing people to grind new contents for motifs is one thing, making them grind old contents they already done quite a few times for the achievements a few months later is a whole lot grindier.
If I wasn't such a completionist, I wouldn't be collecting them since due to dropped sets being better in almost all cases, the motifs are hardly usable.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭I just finished grinding for BSW. It took me close to 100 runs I reckon. The legs were the worst part (took me more rhan 10 hours). In those 2 days of grinding for the legs, I made nearly 200k from just vendoring off the junk from the grind.
Grinding for the Grothdarr mask was similarly frustrating. Worst part there was that you can't solo a vet dungeon efficiently so you need a group, and you aren't always going to find a speed clear group.
Given the countless hours I've spent grinding the "easy" stuff, I don't think I'm ever going to seriously try the vMA grind. The odds of getting what you need there are lower than miniscule. Same goes for any dungeon/trial weapons. Not even going to attempt that ***.
ZOS realy needs to reconsider the trait system. Grinding isn't fun. I get having a little bit of grimd, but some of the grind in this game is verging on Korean MMO levels, and it's all because of the trait system
