I really hope they come out with this, it looks awesome! Come on, ZOS you had the spellcrafting foundational system finished 3 years ago!

That being said, it's on the backburner indefinitely. Until there's an actual developer on the team aside from Wrobel that knows how to actually balance and not call skills of the game his 'children', it'll probably remain there indefinitely until it's cancelled.

Not really soon. Matt said it's probably weeks away.
Months*

Matt Firor: Seriously, you’ll see it in another couple of weeks.

Sure "weeks" can be months but I think it's rather 3 than 10 weeks away.

Remember what we had in the beginning? Progression was completely linear, even after you got lvl 50 you had to play zones in strict order and you were unable even to change alliance you would like to go to. Dungeons and trials did not drop any good loot, there were absolutely no motivation to go there more than once (a shame really, because every dungeon in this game is a masterpiece). Craglorn was a complete failure with all this vet level requirements and phasing issues. To be honest the only rewarding endgame content we had was Cyrodiil (which was almost obligatory, because guild traders and high lvl craft materials were only there). The only good part of it is that there were no lags in Cyro
So I am not surprised these guys were fired (ah, sorry, left for new opportunities). And lucky we are that console release gave enough money to fix the issues (One Tamriel alone is close to remake half of the game from scratch). Sure, with this amount of work all huge scale game changers like spellcrafting were delayed and frozen (but not cancelled). The only cancelled system we know about is PVP part of justice system.

I passionately disagree in terms of development and content.
The things shown in 2013 quake con and other events....most still hasn't been released.
People drastically desired the release of such content. Instead we've received Orsinium which can be argued as true dlc however it wasn't and still isn't complete. When those guys left the bugs and quirks were left broken and honestly a lot hasn't been fixed.
Instead we've seen a lot of changes and bandaids
I definately disagree that we're are in a better state. Let's not confuse QoL updates with content
