If we are lucky they will pop by to continue to claim it is a DDOS. They seem to be hit by the only DDOS which keeps regular hours - it is the same time each day. Hmm
Although I know anyone can write whatever they want, that's not what I understood from company page on Wikipedia. Then Bethesda and investors will realize they made a huge mistake in hiring zenimax to design and implement their elder scrolls online game.
ZOS and Bethesda are the same company, both wholly owned by Zenimax Studios.
Going to start recording server times of death here just to see.

You are sort of new to this whole data recording thing, eh?
Today in 21 Jan.
You never recorded which megaserver you are talking about.... PC EU, XBox, PS4? I know it is not PC NA since I am on that one right now.
While we are at it, if ZOS is getting a DDoS, you might be impacted by the mitigation, not the actual DDoS, so knowing where you are would be helpful.

That is weird (is it really the same hours it happens?)...what could do that though?
Some disgruntled employee knocking off for the day and unplugging a few servers for a sec?
Or is it the electricity getting forcibly powered down because we've been dumped onto a low rate plan during offpeak hours?

They are currently in a lawsuit with Facebook. I'm not saying it's Zuckerberg but....

Really interesting stuff. I despise Zuckerberg so I kinda hope Zeni owns him on this.

A bunch of people crashed then, I wasn't even playing so no point me saying where I was at the time.

Assume I'm concerned and reporting with PC NA, the MEGA SERVER.
That's the one that keeps booting people all at the same time and in large numbers, though quite oddly a few people have been booted from their xbox server at same time as well.
It's possible the reason they haven't identified it yet is it isn't a common problem affecting everybody. I know I have logged at least 20-30 hours (was home sick half of the week) over the past week and have not had a single issue with lag or disconnects. I would expect threads like this to be much more active if it was affecting everyone.

This isn't the thread people post on when they get booted from the server. You can see when there's a mass booting on threads like Servers Just Went Down and other similar ones, and that's just a few people who bother to post on the forums.
It's always a lot of people getting booted at the same time, after a massive ping increase.
If you play on PC NA and haven't experienced this then either you weren't playing at the time the servers choked, or you were on an unaffected server (we connect to the megaserver using a bunch of different servers with different IPs, I always check which server I'm on at time so am quite aware of how the megaserver is actually broken into many parts).
They told us in one post a week ago that this is a DDoS attack, but haven't updated us with any more info like what they're doing or even acknowledging it's an annoying issue for the player base.
.

Cool, I really don't pay attention, any more, to my megaserver entry point. I was keeping a list, for a while, back when we wondered exactly where the various megaservers were. I haven't cared in more than a year.
Perhaps, when you get booted and note the time and date, you can also include the megaserver IP address you are connected to?
.
It's more likely that those certain people were just on one of the servers that didn't go down. We connect through many servers, two at a time (one "hosts" us and remains constant during that login session, and the other is a variable and changes all the time as we pass onto various areas).
Anyone else feel the need to snark in here and tell us all the servers have been perfectly stable all week and we're just making stuff up, and have no idea how the interwebz really work?
It's fine to make a thread about your connection problems, but the trouble is, MOST of the people pointing fingers at ZOS are the ones making things up simply because they aren't comprehending what is actually happening.

The servers have been getting hit, no one is saying you're making stuff up.
The majority of people making threads about the disconnects though, time and time again, have shown they have no clue what they are talking about in regards to networking, how game servers work, DDoS attack effects, etc.

I didn't say anyone was making things up. As I posted, I was involved in a similar situation when I played WoW that was external to Blizzard. People flamed Blizzard about their servers, when it turned out to be an AT&T commercial router that Blizzard had nothing to do with. Just as this seems to, that issue affected a large pool of users, me included.
I'm just glad you have this issue pinpointed to ZOS already. I must have access to the "awesome guy" servers since I've played early morning through late evening for several days over the past week without issue. It sucked having to call in sick, but hey, I got paid anyway, and I was able to catch up on my gaming.
Your earlier post suggests you haven't played much over the last week because of this issue, I have played extensively, so it's not STRICTLY a ZOS server issue. I'm sure it is an issue for some, I can tell you that the group I run with has had zero issues over the last week, and we regularly run dungeons together.
I wasn't trying to be snarky, but shed some light on a possible alternative...it seems to me you have the snark aspect covered.
Travel Well,
