interesting question because at times i like to go really slow, read everything, listen to everything, other times though - i'll fly right through a quest...

what can get funny is when you're playing with a friend and you are trying to listen to and read everything, and, you can hear them skipping through all their dialogue on the other end and just staring at you for the next few minutes...waiting...

Thanks - I've got spinal/nerve issues going on that have severely limited the amount of time I can spend on a computer over the last couple of months. I'm improving though, so I expect to be able to post more (although it will still likely be sporadic for some time).

I prefer this happening rather than me having to wait for it to respawn.

It doesn't bother me. For one, it isn't an all the time thing. And for two, I have a lot to do lol, shaving a few seconds off of that is always helpful at this point. And I have done pretty close to ALL of the questing at least one time already. Its fine, let me go faster please.

Well, narturally this does not involve delve bosses like someone seems to think.

Anyways, on my part.. Every time this happens it is a quest boss that has a dialog alone or with another NPC, it also happens that these quest bosses where this happen, do not respawn ever if i dont abandon the quest and do the thing again. Also, every time this has happened, it has been a quest boss behind a long quest chain where abanandoning the quest takes you long back..

I have been playing since launch, this has only happened maybe about 39 times but each time, it is so annoying since i miss something from the chain.. I have done tese quests so i know the dialog, yes.. But that is not the thing with stories, we read good books over and over again, rewatch movies, rewatch tv series, go to same play at theater, listen to same music.. They are all stories, game has also stories, some may not play for them but some will.. Book is not a whole story if we skip part of it, movie is not the complete story if we fast forward some parts of it.. Chorus is not the whole song and so forth. It is same for gaes with me, i like the stories, thats why i play but when something rips a page from the proverbial book, it is extremely irritating.. I think these should be fixed.

In the other hand, it is realistic, you were too slow, some other hired blade allready killed the mark, too bad for you.

Yeah, i think that at least quest boss fights, should be on private instances so you go there either on your own or with people you want there. Perphaps this should also apply to all essential quest battles but thats not so important.

I think Delves should also have an optionb for either public or private so that you can sneak there in peace if you want, even if it does not make sense to some people, it is important to some characters to be sneaky in certain places. Many areas could be improved to meet with more variety of players.. But its always the same when asking private instances, somebody shouts "ITS AN MMO" an so forth.. Perphaps we should just stop making these.. MMOś as people see them and instead, make games where there are just many players online at the same time

Kinda. It happens much more now that all three alliances share an instance, thus more people around you. But I usually play in the late hours and since I'm West coast the majority of North America has already logged off for the night when I'm playing.

I find it to be convenient sometimes. Everything is dead, oh cool I'll just pick this up and turn in the quest.

Each quest boss that this has happened to me has been such, that after the quest is marked complete, the boss never respawwns. If i really want to do it,m i need to abandon the quest and hope that nobody is killing ythe boss next time i get there.. Which usually still happens and adds insult t o injury

I don't care about the quests, all lame imo, I skip as much dialogue as I could after a while.

tHE OTHER THING THAT IRRITATES ME ARE SHARED QUEST COLLECTIBLES ON THE GROUND LIKES PLANTS.. iT FEELS THAT WHENEVER THERE IS EVEN ONE PLAYER BESIUDES ME, THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH.

I can certainly understand and appreciate being irritated having quests completed as you approach the final part.

My own take is surely a special-purpose minority opinion as to why I don't actually mind. My character is a healer and her focus - even when not grouped - is the health bars of friendlies around her. She is right in her element tagging loosely along behind others during a quest trying to help heal/buff them while cursing and doing some dps to foes. So it is not unusual for her sometimes have a quest complete while she is still on the fringes. To her, success is not seeing any friendly players die.
