Cannot get into any of my characters

I can log in to my account. However, when I try to get into any of my characters, I get a long loading screen and then back to the log in screen with a message "An error has occurred. Please wait a few minutes and try again". I have waited and tried for two hours, still the same thing. It is not a closed port issue, since I played 3 days ago in the same machine. I tried the repair option from the launcher; that didn't help. So what can I do now?

✭✭✭This happend to me in some other games as well, it was cases of having outdated / to many mods or ones that did not agree with loading with each other, if your using heavy mods and alot of them try to backtrack and get rid of the ones most recent3 -
