Is it a viable set for endgame dps? What are the alternatives, for weap dam and crit, specifically stam?

✭Stable and flexible, not going anywhere if you want a straightforward set that you can morph your build around while you learn and pick out gear you want to progress into. Not the best by any means but it's solid at least. And crafted, so you can play fashion scrolls ;3
EDIT// plus, endgame is gonna get you different answers. To some that means vHM trials, others PvP, or wider definitions could include various levels of dungeons and Maelstrom arena. ✭✭✭✭✭It's not best in slot, but arguably, yeah. It's also a perennial set. It's kept its value through a lot of FotM rushes. It's not nearly as flashy as the proc sets, though.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭It's probably also worth pointing out, if you're looking for versitile sets, Twice Born Star is a good choice. It's not better than Hundings (with one very specific exception), but it does give you a lot more room to tweak your build and experiment, than you'd normally get (because you effectively pick your 5pc bonus on the fly).1 -

✭Next patch it may see more use. As CRIT sets are less useful. I have not done the math but I believe it would now be better than twiceborn, as stacking CRIT is no longer as useful.0 -

Hundreds of people can make TBS, it's never an issue on EU anyway, I craft for free so long as mats are provided and if not you don't get *** with me when I charge you a large sum for Beeswax. That's probably why people don't craft for randoms tbh, they have no appreciation for it, ignoring the fact I put in the time to research 9 months worth of traits ( and the huge cost)

What?! Unless, you're in one of those "elitist" type guild or group that requires/pressures its members to have certain build or min dps output, there are normal groups going on for trials throughout the day with stam toons. Go to the Craglorn.. folks shouting out all the time to get a group going, and stam toons make up most of the dpsers. However, I can't argue that, currently, a sorc with that freaking overload is better in dps, when they don't die and can dps.
As for Hunding, I'm favoring a bit more towards Spriggan. I did a damage test and seems the Spriggan set are putting out a bit more damages that I like. I also played around and combo the two sets and got higher overall weapon damage and loads of stam, but the spell/physical resistance were very low, and health meter was too low for me. I would be putting out more damages than when comboed a Spriggan set with a heavy set, but had much lower survivability than I like.
If you're looking for good stam and higher weapon dam, play around with comboing the two medium sets (either Hunding and Spriggan, Spriggan and VO, or Hunding and VO, etc.), but will have to sacrifice other aspects that give a bit better survivability. You'll be thrashing the adds/mobs/bosses, but if you are dying and waiting for someone to revive you, you're not engaging in the fight and not dpsing. Healer.. hello, then. Haaa.2 -

✭✭I prefer more stamina over crit so I use spriggans and night mothers embrace but that's just my preference. My weapon crit is already at 50% without a set to boost it.0
