These forums need a new category for crafting

Since this game lacks an auction house it would make a lot of sense to have a forum category devoted to actual crafting where people can get in touch with blacksmiths/tailors/enchanters/alchemists/provisioners and have things crafted.

The developers claim to want to encourage trade among players. Yet they discourage it by closing threads that arrange such crafting propositions.

So I would challenge this forum to actually do something that would encourage trade (instead of making rules against it). Let's add a new crafting section or broaden the existing one to accommodate players who are looking to have items crafted.

    Unfortunately they do not allow you to arrange having items crafted in that forum. I recently had a thread closed for it.

    That's why I am asking for them to either add a new crafting category or broaden the existing one into a sub section or something that would accommodate players who are looking to have items crafted.

    When you say go to rawl do you mean go to the town rawl'ka and ask in zone chat?

    I can try that I guess. But considering the success I've had doing that in Mournhold I'm not optimistic. But can't hurt to try.

    Either way - it would be nice to have a forum category here where you could ask to have things made. That way people could check at their leisure instead of having to remain glued to zone chat.

    There are websites that already do this. If that's not your cup of tea, try the main cities and use zone chat.

    Do you know of a guild (NA/PC) who has a blacksmith who can craft a Twice Born Star chest piece in the Trinimac style?

    Personally I made the effort to be 9 traits on everything so that I don't actually have to rely on anyone

    I have 9 traits also on my blacksmith. But I am looking for a specific style of armor. A style I have spent over an hour every day for the last month trying to find for sale.

    I would rather see an in game jobs board or something. Perhaps having one in a busy place in each alliance. With this people could post what they want. A person could take the job but have a limited time to finish it, and if they don't it gets put back on the board. The want list could include what they want to pay for it.

    I'd prefer that too. I like everything in the game to be sorted in the game, and not through some addon or external website. Moreover, such a jobs board would add both to immersion and community spirit - the latter being sorely tested by the multiplicity of guild memberships and rubbish trading system.
