Weapon Traits, and Poisons.

Currently almost every single build is running sharpened weapons or has sharpened weapons as the End Game setup. Personally I'd like to see Weapon traits such as Infused and charged to affect poisons. For instance, Infused would reduce the cooldown from 10 seconds to 6 seconds(40%) and increase the damage or effect of said poison (This could be the length of time the effect lasts) and charged would increase the chance to proc said poison. Currently the trait imbalance in ESO weapons is abismal with 1-3 traits being used (to include training for leveling) and it's sad to see such an opportunity for build creativity lost.

Proposal:
  • Infused= Increase Poison and Enchant Effect by 100% and reduce cooldown of Poison and Enchantments by 40%.
  • Charged= Increase Chance to apply status effect and activate poison by 100% (Which would = 40% on poisons)

I'll post you a suggestion that I keep making:

Precise up to 15% (or 10% crit chance and an 8% crit damage multiplier), nirnhoned to 33%, sharpened and defending remain the same. Powered gives healing done and significantly buffs light and heavy attack damage to make it effective in weaving builds. Charged increases chance for status effects and doubles their effectiveness and duration (this would be cool in both PvE and PvP). Decisive reduces ultimate cost in addition to the current buff to ultimate gained. Prosperous buffs gold gained and increases the item drop chance for rare items to make it useful in farming overland sets. Training remains as it is. Infused applies to poisons as well to make it worth using on dd characters and PvP.

Not hard to implement and makes other traits a lot more interesting.

What about the 60% resource poisons? 40% more potency on those? You really want to see that happen? People will just run Infused on the back bar and when they find some one to Xv1 they sit back and spam light attacks until you're out of resources. Idk.

The exact same reason I disagree with OP.
While I say yes to traits being adjusted, this is definetly the wrong route.

The way @Masel92 described it, sounds more reasonable to me (on most suggestions, not all).

The poisons in general should be adjusted to fall in line with the major and minor buff system they have in game. 60% cost increase is outlandish, and I'm glad you bring it up. A nerf to cost increase poisons is long overdue and a major increase of 30% and a minor increase of 15% would be in line with the heal debuffs they went with.

@Masel92 I agree with your assessment, what about charged trait?

The only reason not to buff Infused weapon in a way you said is the resource cost increase poisons . Nothing else . If ZOS realize how broken they are , they should remove them from game and buff Infused a bit like you suggested .

It is very good tanking weapon though and good choice for healer who use master resto . Not gonna lie .

Charged is really , really useless in every case . They should definitely buff it . It may be a bit more useful next patch for applying Minor Vulnerability but still not that good .

It wouldn't change anything that exists now, it would just give similar buffs to poisons. Maybe not the same kind, but something would be better than nothing.

Yeah the cost increase poisons need to be reworked. It should be at most 30%, maybe even have something of a major and minor cost increase debuff. 30/15% or 20/8%. Something that isn't outlandish like the 60% increases they have now.
