Does Combat Physician self-proc?

rob.sfoub17_ESO
Does the Combat Physician set proc on yourself (for example, in a solo situation)?
  • (5 items) Critically Healing an ally grants them a 8195 Damage Shield for 8 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 6 seconds.

Usually sets that mention "ally" include you aswell and I doubt Combat Physician is an exception.

Edit: You can test this just by spamming a healing ability and see if you receive a shield.

If nothing happens, try again while your health is not at 100%.

If still nothing happens, it doesn't work on yourself.

Yeah I assume it does based on the wording, but I don't have the set yet so I'm hoping someone else has tested it to confirm.

I think I read somewhere that it doesn't work when at 100%, so you have to be missing health for it to proc.

I love it if someone can confirm that it works on yourself though.

It can proc off self heals. Things I've had it proc off include rapid regeneration, extended ritual, structured entropy's initial heal. Things I noticed it doesn't proc off; puncturing sweeps self heal (but this is because this self heal can't critical hit).

It can proc on yourself, but the last time I played with this set, it had the restriction on it that it had to actually heal some damage in order to proc at all so healing someone at full health would never see any procs. Unfortunately, that restriction has kept me from using this over other sets on my healer that work at full health like spell power cure.
