I'm sure people would say 5pc Night Mothers for that physical resistance debuff. But you're missing out on 300 weapon damage.

Depends on what you actually want to do.

Night Mother's Gaze is a better set overall, but it will actually be useless if someone else in your group is already using it.

Hunding's Rage is a no-compromises and independent set, which means that it is viable no matter what composition your group is.

I can also add in my favorite alternative: Twice Born Star is the best set for stamina builds in-game for group content as long as someone else in your group is running Aggressive Warhorn and using it frequently. Is still really solid stand-alone. Just always remember to keep both your Thief and Shadow Mundus stones up, or you're losing out in damage.

It all depends on your playstyle and what settings you would be playing in. Since you said solo PvE, I'd say go with 5pc NMG.

On a side note, I wouldn't recommend 2H for PvE; dual wield deals more damage and actually fits a stam DK's playstyle (apply all DoTs you have and spam Flurry a few times, rinse and repeat) much better. Plus, you get one more set piece bonus if you dual wield.
Best Argonian NA and I will fight anyone for it

    20 Argonians

    6x IR, 7x GH, 7x TTT, 5x GS, 6x DB, 1x PB, 4x SBS, 1x MM, 1x US, 2x CB, 1x Unchained

To you it might not, but some players wants to improve themselves and do the highest damage possible, just because you don't care about this doesn't mean that other dont.
Anyway Night mother will provide more dps, as long as you don't already have a member who runs it in your group, or if you are already at full penetration.

I'm going only self crafted so yea it matters to me :). I find grinding dungeons boring. Don't mind farming mats (except nirn that sucks)! Im only 6 trait so far. I did DW to 50 but just didn't care for it. I like the slam bang of big slow attacks better. Thanks for the insight

I agree in principle, but 2H can be a blast in open world, bosses, public dungeons etc. In particular that one skill that provides the damage shield is awesome. Frankly I rotate between Bow, 2H and S&B on my backbar in order to keep things interesting, build out the skills, and hone my technique. Unless you are in a group dungeon, it really doesn't seem to affect sustainability.

Yea but if you don't play meta you are a scrub lol! Hard to believe some of us like to stray from the pack (and die in PvP cause of it!)

    Have both.
NM5 if you're the only one with this set in group, Hunding5 if someone else in group already have NM5 or if you solo trash mobs leveling (you nox breath will put good resist debuff for trash anyway).

NM5 gives ~4% for all (group too) physical dmg but it do not stack with another players NM sets so... As i've written before.

Can always try 5 Hundings, 2 Monster set, 5 Viper if dual wield?

Go get yourself a 5 piece Vicious Ophidian (Preferaby 3 jewel+2body) and then chose 5 Hundings or 5 Nightmothers. Personally I like nightmother since the extra penetration is really strong.
