Gaining CP in One Tamriel?

I cruised around google looking for an answer but all the information is out-dated.

How do people go about gaining CP in One Tamriel?

Doing quests for cadwell's silver and gold on alts only give 8k or so xp, which is unbearably slow.
Grinding one of the popular spots in a full set of training gear and an XP scroll / potion only nets 3-5 CP an hour...

I'm currently right around the 350 CP mark, and I just don't get it. With so many max CP characters running around, how did you guys do it?
Some even as high as 800CP... Assuming they stopped grinding at 561, how did they amass an additional 250 CP?
Did you literally grind non-stop potion chugging xp pots for 3 months straight?

I'm at nearly 800 cp, just been playing normally since beta. No hardcore grinding. Done every single quest in the game on my main, who has over 360 skill points available. I do pledges on her nearly every day, and raid often. She has probably 35 titles, available, maybe more.

4 other characters have completed Cadwells Gold and Silver, and the rest I just got to 50 and went straight to leveling undaunted/gathering skyshards and mages guild books. All characters have level 50 for all professions and do writs every day. I often do pledges on my tank, too. Undaunted 9 on 4 characters. I play many more hours on the weekends, but I usually get the writs for all toons and pledges on my main every day. Dont' really pvp anymore because cyrodiil sucks so bad these days, but I did get rank 36 before stopping.

Undaunted randoms for each character, make sure to pick up the quests too (half the time they are for a daily). Normal mode gives the same XP as Vet mode... The experience is over 100K, and even more for turning in a daily. I find it to be a lot more fun than grinding the same delve area for hours. If you can tank or heal, the queues are usually instant.
