    For group PvE? PvP? vMA?

You need to be more precise...

If OP didn't specify then you could just default to a general multi-purpose build allocation. To be more precise than that, a general PvE build with a side of PvP capability.

    I don't play a MagBlade though.

Curious to see if any advice comes back so I can compare.
I have a 561CP magblade with destro/resto myself for solo PVE and 2 manning dungeons. He's good on self sustain and AOE damage but low on single target damage.

Green = 100 arcanist, 87 magician. Or if you need more stamina and Less mahicka go 100 in magician, 61 arcanist, 39 tumbling.

Standard blue = 100 elemental expert and 87 spell erosion. However, I find that spell penetration is overrated because it doesn't work on shields and in today's meta everyone is running shields. Anyone not using shields I can kill easily without that much spell penetration. Instead, I use shattering blows it is amazing against shield stackers so I run 100 elemental expert and 87 shattering blows. If you think your going to be using a lot of dots than you could dump your points into thurmaturge. However, I found that shattering blows edges out thurmaturge.

Red = 91 resistant for the crit. 48 hardy and 48 elemental defender, reduce incoming damages by 15% each. You could run some variation of bastion if you are a healing/Damian magic build but I find it best to reduce incoming damage before shields are applied.

This is a standard pvp magicka distribution. If your looking for a hybrid with healing that would require points in blessed and quick recovery. Someone else can provide their thoughts on that. If your looking for pve distribution look up asyre's spreadsheet.

Stick like 40 into resistant and the rest split into hardy / elemental defender.

100 elemental expert, put like 50 into spell crit, a few thaum a few spell pen.

39 into tumbling, split green cp into magicka regen and magicka cost reduction
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

He's asking for pvp. Not sure why you would put 50 points into spell crit for mageblade pvp and why only 40 into resistant? You can't crit shields and the diminishing returns on crit is worse. Better off putting the 50 points in spell erosion, thurmaturge, or shattering... He would want to get as close to 3300 crit cap as possible while using impen armor and cp resistence. Especially, while proc sets are currently criting. In update 13 stat distribution might be different.

Maybe I'm wrong, do you have some insight for why 50 points in crit?

That's the consensus from the forum warriors and mathematicians. What has been generally agreed upon is wear 7 impen and Max crit resistance to at a minimum anywhere from 2500-3300.
