I was able to create a template of a new character, save it, and then apply it once I entered the modification screen.

All 12 of my character slots are taken so I can't even dabble with the character creator in that manner.
The problem with arguing with a jackass is that they never stop braying.

    I think being able to buy 'Templates' would be a great addition to the game. you have to buy a 'slot' that is separate from the normal character slots that allows you to auto apply a player-made pre-fab character design maybe... they could offer say, 3-4 slots for this that you have to purchase as a separate add-on to your game, like Imperial Edition. that way when you run out of character slots, you can save a character template at any time and buy a change token and choose from your saved templates or to customize. :)

    This is the reason why I haven't bothered coming back to ESO (Race Changes Paid For) I understand, but not allowing players to freely edit their character (As a ESO Plus Member) and charging $10 per recustomize is stupid Once i buy the packs or customization unlocks I should be able to edit any time I want to...

    I think it would be better if the reversed the order you do things.

    So you could enter the character creator with any character any time you're in the character select screen to play around with the settings. Then buy an appearance/race change token if you like what you've done.

    Hmm... I imagine people would buy more race/appearance change tokens if they had made a template they really liked. This is one of those good idea's that give players more functions and generate zos some crowns.

    P.s. as a temporary work around you can use the pts as a place to experiment with character creation.
    #1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.
