PS4 new update and One Tamriel, What's going on ???

Hi,
I changed my Tv, 6 months ago for a new 55'' 4K HDR. No worries when playing games with my PS4. Then comes the new PS4 update with the new HDR functionality. With this new update, I played Uncharted 4, big graphic slap with HDR, Dishonored 2 (non HDR), great image and yesterday, I decided to play TESO again.
And there disaster , the image is so red that I have the impression to play on Mars. I have changed all my TV settings to be able to get to a correct image. But more than that, I started to play and see no one during a long long time. I decided to pursue my quests (quests level 45 with a character 45, quest in yellow) and I die in seconds while trying to kill an enemy. Now I am hidden in Dune (that I cannot clean by myself) and am desperately waiting for bigger heroes to defeat monsters, get out and progress.
I do not understand what's going on, before the One Tamriel update, there were players all over, quests were achievable...
If anyone has explanations / clarification / solution, I will be glad to hear them. IT is clear that I cannot continue to play (or not play) like that.

You're probably dying because your gear is too low level for you. for example, if you are level 30 and your gear is lvl20-25 then it isn't going to work. you need gear that is within a few levels of you. I have no idea why you aren't seeing many people you should see more people after the update not less.

With the colour problem maybe you can try turning off hdr when you play eso...

Thank you for this answer. What do you mean by gear ? I am level 45 and my only quests are yellow and level 45.

By gear he means equipment as in Weapons and Armour. If you are a significantly higher level then your gear they give less of a benefit when you wear them.

Also Quests don't have levels in One Tamriel.

I think people over emphasise the need for your gear to be close to your level before getting to lvl 50. My last 2 alts (the last one being during the recent festival) have had a mixture of levelled gear. My last alt had level 26-40-odd gear on when I hit level 50 and I had next to no issues killing things. I'm not an uber gamer by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, quite the opposite.

I must admit, I am totally lost. What should I do if I am not able to complete any quests, not been able to progress in levels... Could someone tells me a direction to go or should I just forget TESO and play other games ?

As mentioned above, what is the level of each piece of gear or weapon you have slotted?

If each piece of gear (and weapons) are level 25 or below, you're going to have issues completing PvE content due to the scaling of your character and gear.

If you are able to list your active armor and weapons (and level) that would help.

You could always try starting from scratch with a new character so that you can learn the one tamriel update at a leisurely pace, rather than feeling trapped by it? That's normally what I do if I have a big break from RPGs. The good think about TESO is that all your characters can share their inventory, so you won't lose any good equipment/gold/crafting mats. Hope this helps

Concerning armor, I have nothing below 35, most of my stuff are 38, 40
As weapon, right hand I have a Dwenaer stunning dagger level 42 and left hand a shield : Akatosh bless shield level 43.
Of course I have pushed one weapon and a shield in my character.
@will_rob87 Sure, I can do so but I will lose my hours of playing and restart from scratch. I will see.
