Dear Mr.
@ZOS_RichLambert and the ESO community,
I have been thinking about a home idea for Update 13. I think it will be awesome to have a “traveling” ship as a house. I am going to break down the idea into two parts.
1) It seems to be a limitation of the ESO game engine that the ship models cannot move. To achieve the “traveling” idea we can use a simple menu system. When a player buys the home either in game or via the crown store, they will travel to a dock in a city. They will see a small ferry boat that will ferry them to the real home ship out in the sea (ie in it’s own instances just like any other house in Update 13).
After the player do whatever in their ship-home; they will go to the top deck and use the door icon (the square icon used for doors) and it will ask via text menu where they want to be ferry to. They can select cities like Daggerfall, Vulkhel Guard, Davon's Watch, Skywatch, Windhelm, other home islands, etc. Thus, the ship can “travel” to any city without the ship model really moving.
2)They are four ship models that are already in game: AD, EP, DC and the Maormer. Thus, they can be four ship-homes that a player can choose from via in game or via the crown store. All of them can use the “travel menu system” in point one. Also, an item that a player can buy is a flag for their ship to mark it as part of the fraction they want to be a part of.
What do you think of this idea?
