Dual wield.eso vs lightning staff in next update

Will lightning be a better option next patch? Considering the 8% too AOE vs sword and boards passive 5% with dual swords? PVE in mind.the biggest drawback would losing the bonus for a set,but I'm considering Kena one pc and 2 full sets.

Considering that the 8% damage only applies to AoE, and that Twin Blade and Blunt applies to all attacks, I'd say that it's still worth running DW, even with the nerf to SD/WD when dual wielding, since the extra set piece can easily make up the 3% loss in damage over Lightning Staff.

Lightning is really looking good to run, however, considering the change to Concussed to add Minor Vulnerability.

But I'm still going to run DW/Inferno with Burning Spellweave on my Magplar and twin Inferno on my Dragonknight.

That's for one class.. I think its going to have to be a class by class , build by build review on what will be better.

As he had AOE skills on his inferno bar... and single target skills on his aoe bar.. if you stream lined your rotation where only aoe is on lighting and only single target was on inferno I think that would change the dps out come of a test.

Also as a Templar he has spam skills that are aoe..

Other mage class have more defined single target and aoe target spam spells and that would effect over all performance..

So for a Templar.. DW still maybe the way to go.. but for other class's I would like to see a more proper build and break down of it.

That's was my thought as well,I'm looking at my magblade with.lightning on the sap bar. Since he's Altmer,I'd get the elemental dmg as well.

There is no other magic class has ever reliably used duals in PvE like temps. Sorcs have no spammable, dks need the sustain from eledrain and magblades have a long range spamable with funnel, so it paid to use a staff. Even if you don't take what I say as truth, that test still shows you get the most damage out of a skill using dual swords, regardless of it being single target or AOE. Of course this is without taking the sustain or the damage that weaving will adds into consideration.
