Am I the only one sitting here thinking LOTRO had this and more 9-10 years ago? This was only the beginning....they had way way more to it later...

I am kind of disappointed at the level of content and polish we get for a game in 2017...when compared to a 10 year old game...
  • Instanced Neighborhoods
  • Multiple Housing Sizes
  • The House itself will be buyable, not buildable
  • First Area Being Developed is in Bree
  • Ability to Decorate
  • Items for Houses can be made via Crafting (New recipes)
  • Houses will have extra storage
  • Friends will be allowed to enter
  • To Be Released w/Book 11
  • Possible “Equip” Slots for House Upgrades
  • Raid Housing Trophies
  • Anyone who wants a house will be able to get one
  • No Kinship-only Neighborhoods
  • Possible ability to set entry Permissions
  • 30 Houses per Neighborhood

    I agree. I have really enjoyed LOTRO's housing system.

    IMO, the only thing that makes ESO housing exciting, is that it is in ESO.

    When you actually get down to features, it is rather disappointing.

    But just the fact that it is housing (which I love), and in ESO, I am still somewhat excited about it.

    It was OK years back.

    Looks and feel very dated and lacks functionality now.

    Do like having a Draigoch Fireplace in my Bree House though, it's fun.

    Really, the only thing I see missing is the storage and Instanced neighborhoods.

    Yes and don't forget you could sit on your back deck and fish if your house was on the water!!

    That was the biggest deciding factor in what house i picked... ;).

    Yes! I love 4 Wending Way for that reason... :smiley:

    I do wish they had done instanced neighborhoods in ESO. Rather than just a house scattered around here and there. I really liked the sense of community in LOTRO, and being able to have houses near one another with friends and guild-mates.

    Funny...I don't really care for neighbors in real life...but in game, I do. : :p
