New build, have been using it for weeks and also the templars in my trial group have been for quite some time. VERY nice damage in trials and dungeons and great damage for vma also. ENJOY!

Very nice video. I appreciate the explanations regarding how the setup helps the entire raid including Stam classes that benefit from the CP setup for the extra damage.

Looks like a fun build. I have a couple of questions:

    1. Why Orc?
    2. Gear substitutions for people not running trials yet.
    3. Motifs you used for your armor - looks pretty solid.

How often do you find you set bosses "off-balance"?

I find trash pulls get set off balance all the time, but bosses seem to have some kind of resistance to it.

Just soloing a world boss as a test with a charged lighting staff and doing nothing but blockade of storms and heavy attacks I have around a 1% uptime on "off-balance" effect.

Off balance happens a lot and also if the tank blocks a heavy attack it also creates off balance. Bosses are immune to stun and such but not off balance so its pretty strong. The funny thing is, once you are aware of it...you will look out for it! lol

    Thank you Elk512!

    1. It's high elf not orc, i just made him look like a bit of a goblin
2.Gear substitutions, I guess there are a lot you are not really limited to and would create a whole new video if I had to substitute...however if running twice born be sure to get a 5 piece set which has at LEAST! 1x crit bonus on it and either max magicka or spell damage (or both if you can) to make the most out of your flat stats.
    3. heavy trinimac chest, breton shoulders(light) i think, and xivkin light hands i believe.

Nice video, I wanted to get more into templar dps as it's the last class to master for me. I've been using lightning builds on my sorc and on my dk and the issue with thaumaturge is that most raids aren't optimised to use it and with the current update I believe that there will be less and less melee dds used and most magicka builds don't really use 75 points in thaumaturge (which I believe is a mistake). Have you tried going for an infallible aether fifth piece lightning staff on your back bar? Just as an alternative if you're the designated buff guy to weave in the first tick of a fully charged heavy attack to put the debuff on.

Other than that, magicka sorcs and dks are better to proc off balance as they have more sources to proc off-balance, or in case of a dk, they can get more damage out of lightning builds. If you want to max out off-balance, use a shock glyph on a charged staff on the back bar. That has an 84% chance to proc off-balance, so you'd lose a little damage while on your back bar to get a better uptime on off-balance. If your raid is optimised to use that you might benefit from it.

Just a few things that came to mind when watching the video :) good work!

Great video, but with the new nerf to Duel Wield would you go destro, destro or stick to dw/destro?

Thank you! we shall see how the new nerfs are affected when the patch goes live. Shouldn't be an issue though. Will just adapt when the changes come in:)

Thank you! The 5x aether I do have and have tried on the back bar, great for VMA or if someone ISN'T using aether, but generally in my trials team we always have someone using aether anyways. But to confirm, yes it does work just fine I do have a charged aether lightning staff which I use for just the occasion, you will loose the 1.4k magika on the back bar though so don't stay on the back bar too long:)

You are correct your team does need to be set up to benefit this and ours is for this along side multiple other things hence why I made the build the way it is. It works really well but its not just for solo, this does excel in a well set up trial team. Charged is amazing and yes the uptime is more however we have 4x magika's using lightning generally so things are off balance a LOT so we can close the gap and go for a little more dps. However if you are the only one with lightning...indeed, go charged.

Thank you for watching, much appreciated and thank you also for the in-depth comment:)
